Disagreed about starting Barnes though I concede he likely will. I don't want to see Barnes play any role except as small-ball 4 (read: Draymond's primary backup) as I don't think he is capable to defend 3s consistently any longer and he has zero advantage on the other side of the court. Put him at 4 and he can at least draw defenders away to perimeters and defensively he's still physical and a decent rebounder.

I'd throw McCaw into the fire but put him on short-leash. McCaw needs to grow to be more confidence with his scoring or otherwise he won't see a minute in the playoffs and that will be a waste of the potentials he could offer.

Barnes should start. Added toughness to the starting lineup and he is not a creator of offense.

Klay can start at the 3 (Clark or McCaw at the 2), but it would hurt our rebounding .

I would be giving Mc Caw and Clark heavy minutes to help their development. Iggy should be playing less for the stretch run. You know what you will get from Barnes whose biggest contribution will be on D with an occasional 3.

I think he's the best option, but I just can't imagine he'll have grasped any of our fairly complex playbook by gametime.

There's no way Klay starts at the 3 and I just feel iffy about McCaw filling in at the 3 when he looks close to 6'4" 130 pounds.

Starting Matt Barnes would allow them to keep the rest of the rotation in place...and Warriors reporter Marcus Thompson thinks that's what the Warriors will want to do fwiw.

We've seen this before when Brandon Rush started...and would play about 10 mpg. So wouldn't surprise me.

Don't exaggerate McCaw's frame. I think he's 6'7" and 130 pounds, not 6'4".

I think Barnes should start, which allows everyone to stay in their current roles. At least after a few games where he is getting acclimated.

I think I heard McCaw will start at Chicago.

Damn he's really 6'7"! WTF he looks so small out there. Is this like how David Lee is 6'10"? Or Draymond is 6'9", but Klay somehow looks taller?

Barnes will be fine as a starter. He might look rusty his first few games till he gets used to the team's rhythm, but you known he'll play with heart and grit. Our elite defense might elevate his defensive game too.

Warriors have a ton of tough guys on the team with Matt now. Matt, Dray, Zaza, and West are all rough guys, which I like. Should help big time during PS.

Is MAtty b going to be inserted to the starting lineup?

He probably should be no. No reason to disrupt out other sets and rotations. Let him slide into Durant's role for now and maybe bring Iggy off the bench sooner.

We'll probably see more of McCaw now as well.

I agree Matt should start and play ~15-20 min the first couple of games and go from there. Iguodala can sub in earlier than usual and play a couple more min overall, along with Shaun. This way everyone's role stays consistent heading into the playoffs.

Barnes probably will end up in the staring lineup. But I hope Kerr starts McCaw the rest of this road trip.

Can we waive MacAdoo and sign Terrence Jones? Probably addresses the team's need for a guy who can handle the ball a bit and drive to the basket.

Why are people so in love with Jones? He's not a good player. A couple solid stretches here and there but that's about it, he's never had much of a positive impact on the court. Have you guys seen him in New Orleans this year? He would drive you guys crazy with his constant robotic fakes on open shots.

Management seems to have a lot of faith on McAdoo. Instead of waiving McAdoo to sign Barnes, we waived newly signed Calderon to sign Barnes. If McAdoo were this good, he could have tag-teamed with Draymond at 3/4, and we wouldn't have panicked and signed Barnes instead of Calderon after KD's injury.

Originally, management said we didn't have enough guards so they got Calderon. In the end, they chose to keep McAdoo at the expense of guard depth?

Moreover, I believe there will be better players waived than Barnes.

I came on this board to see what you guys thought. Didn't think about Barnes being a bad influence on Draymond. What if they go to a nightclub after the game?

As for Calderon, I'd love to get his work. Got paid $415K for not working for two hours. Just picked up a pen to sign a K ha ha.
