Yea, I'm just a little superstitious about it. I think it was a great pick though. I think he'll be a Pro Bowler for us.

It'll be interesting to see what we do tonight. Only one pick unless we trade up (doubtful). I think WR is a possibility, maybe DT or DB depending on who makes it past the debacle of the first five picks or so tonight. If one of the OL's fall to us, that could be a pick too.

We have #40. Guys I would like for us to consider, and take the best one available:
Curry - DE ( I just dont see Upshaw lasting to #40. But he can play a DE in a 4-3 He'll go quick tonight)
DT - Still or Worthy would be extremely good value picks at #40
CB - Johnson
WR - Randle

All 3 positions are a position of need. But IF Cordy Glenn made it to #40, I'd take that big horse and stick him on the O-Line as a starter. Cannot believe he was not taken in the 1st. He and Upshaw are the 2 best players still on the Board. Would be a miracle to get either one tonight.

Intriguing players still left:

Stephen Hill: Well worth trading up for in my opinion, especially given how staked we are with talent (we could trade a RB + our 2nd for a higher 2nd).

Andre Branch
Courtney Upshaw
Cordy Glenn
Coby Fleener
Mike Adams
Peter Konz
Zach Brown
Bobby Massie
Brandon Thompson
Alshon Jeffery
Brian Quick
Devon Still
Jerel Worthy
Janoris Jenkins
Josh Robinson

Keep your eye on Vinny Curry. He is the best edge rusher left on the Board. I know Icness has us listed as taking him in his 2nd round mock. Man, if wse come out of rounds 1 and 2 with a starting LB and a new starting DE, would be an awesome improvement to this team.

I'm not excited about grabbing a DE now.

I would put Greg Hardy above many of the options we could go with right now. I don't think it's a position of weakness for us. I wouldn't even take a DT unless there's someone that can come in and be an instant impact player. I'm not seeing that in this class.

I'm not liking Stephen Hill either. There's a guy we have to train and hope that he pans out. I'd rather grab an established talent like Jeffery or trade down to the third and grab someone there. We may not draft a WR at all this year.

Janoris Jenkins isn't going to be available. Talks suggest whomever gets #33 is going to snatch him up. I do like Mike Adams though.

I think Curry would be a nice upgrade over Hardy. We need to generate pressure on the QB, and right now we are not able to do that very well. Charles Johnson needs someone on the other side wreaking havoc. But I wont be upset if a CB is taken. But it will be Trumain Johnson most likely. Dont see Richardson signing off on Jenkins. Too risky.

I like Hill because its pretty hard for a 6'4 4.38 player to NOT pan out, think of Randy Moss- a guy who didn't have a whole bunch of skills but was super fast and tall....

Silatulo is a good pick. Need him after letting Wharton go. This kid will get lots of PT real quick. Great run blocker.

Not a bad pick. We had to replace Wharton. It could be questioned as coming a little soon, I wonder if we would have taken a chance on Janoris Jenkins had he fallen to us?

we reaaaaalllly need a cb sometime in the draft... No way I can live through Captain trying to cover WR's again this year. Maybe we are trusting in Hogan?

I do think the FO is planning on giving Hogan a shot. Got injured and missed his Rookie year. See how he does this year.

I would love to take Brandon Boykin at 104.

The more I read about our 2nd round pick, the more I love him! He is awesome and going to improve our running game. He's a mauler and great run blocker. He is just what we had in Otah until his knee issues. This was a great pick!

I wouldn't. Boykin is a better returner than CB.

I bet you that we'll end up with Josh Norman or Ryan Steed tomorrow.

Anyway, if we're going DB, I'd rather us get Antonio Allen from SC. People are talking about how good a prospect Gilmore is: Allen was better last year.

He can also play LB. Gives Martin a run for his money at safety and we can bring him into the front seven if necessary. I like DeQuan Menzie from 'Bama too.

If we are looking at Defense, best talent available would be Antonio Allen - S from SC, Jared Crick - DT from Neb., Alameda Ta'amu - DT from Washington. If we are sure we are not resigning Shockey, guys from the Observer said we very well may go with a TE. Orsen Charles from Georgia is still on the Board. Would be an upgrade over Hartsock and Barnidge. Finally, need to strongly consider Joe Adams, the WR/PR from Arkansas. As a PR, think he was Special TEams POY in the SEC. The Armanti Edwards was a failed experiment. Just some options.

I thought Boykin came off the Board in the 3rd. Had a brainfart. He is right there with Allen as far as I am concerned if we go CB in the 4th. But the player with the most value would likely be Ta'Amu. Getting a player with a mid 2nd round grade at DT when it is considered a position of need wold be a great pick in the 4th.

Looks like I got the Norman pick right. I knew Hurney couldn't resist taking him.
