GAme#3 Giants at Panthers

Post#1 » by ohara » Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:37 am

Josh Thomas, starting CB, will be out with the concussion from last week. May also be missing starting DT Edwards also. That is all we need facing a rather desperate Giants team who will be out for blood. This game leading into the bye will be crucial for the Coaching Staff. Offense needs to put some TD's on the board, not FG's. Cam, you need to prove yourself a franchise QB. This is the time to start.

Panthers up 17-0 at the half. Defense is dominating. Cam has 122 passing yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. But the defense is the star of the game so far. 3 sacks by Hardy, and Star has one as well. They are all over Manning.

What a day for the Panthers. Under a minute to go, Panthers lead 38-0. This will be their first shutout in 5 years if they finish it off. Newton was 15/27 for 223 yards. 3 TD passes, 1 rushing TD and 1 INT. Defense with 7 sacks. Finishing it off with another INT of the Giants. Wow! Rivera is still alive. And now the bye week, and 4 winnable games.

Wow, I was about as surprised as the next person by this outcome. Sounded like Carolina dominated from start to finish. After next Sunday's bye week, Carolina has four straight winnable games.
