This is one that the Panthers can win if they play smart ball. But the big story heading into the weekend is Jon Beason. Word in Charlotte is that he will be traded to the Giants if he passes a physical later today. He lost the starting Middle LB job to Kuechley and now has been demoted in favor of Chase Blackburn. Beason has just not recovered fully from the achilles injury. Just hope they get some decent value for him. Hate to see him go, but if there is any chance of his being disgruntled, best to let him go elsewhere.

Beason to the Giants for a late round pick in 2014 draft. Good for everyone.

Panthers up 6-3 at the half. Newton has 215 passing yards, but a very costly Int in the first half. Smitty and LaFell have not been helpful with dropped passes. Except for that one bad throw, Cam has been on target and looking good. Defense with a couple Ints of Palmer and a couple sacks.

Cards take a 10-6 lead. Panthers defense killing itself with penalties which help spur on the drive. Offense needs to come out and make a long sustained drive for a TD.

Instead more penalties and Cam is sacked for a Safety. Now 12-6 Cardinals.

Got into the red zone, and Cam throws a bad Int. Losing faith in my man. Just not sure about his judgment. Has all the talent, but bad judgment.

Cards get a 50 yard FG to go up 14-6 with under 4 minutes to play. Just played poorly on offense and self destructed with penalties on offense and defense. Game is not over, but it is about to be I fear. Panthers start to move the ball, Cam gets hit and the ball goes up in the air and is picked off. This one will be over in 2 minutes. Panthers fall to 1-3. Just woeful.
