Oh, and apparently Ed Dickson visited today and many report he's likely to sign. This is kind of exciting to me because it implies a potential return to a 2-TE lineup akin to the one Cam flourished in as a rookie. Probably a necessary move due to our lack of talent at receiver, but a good move nevertheless, IMO.

He just signed a 1 year deal with the Panthers. Good signing as you mentioned BlackOut.

the receiving core is pretty good right now i think, Olsen/Dickerson at TE with Avant/Cotchery/Underwood as the 3 WR's and McNutt and King chipping in sometimes also gonna draft a WR in the 2nd round probably, people will still be butt hurt with Steve being gone but he wasn't much better (if at all) that Cotchery last season even tho he caught 20 more passes but also had a lot more chances

FS Thomas DeCoud just got signed to a 2 year deal, I am expecting Godfrey to be cut soon since he has such a large cap number

3 new secondary players now DeCoud,Harper and Cason, very good signings

DeCoud is a very good signing. Very happy with that one. Godfrey could be cut since it makes little sense to keep him around with that kind of cap hit for perhaps being just a nickle.

I was kind of hoping that we would target the TE from Washington... Safaris-Jenkins is his name? The guy is a solid blocker and has insane upside. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is better than Ebron..... OH well, there is still a chance.

Side Note:

Rumors have it that we are chasing Sydney Rice. If Rice could stay healthy for a whole season he would be a solid receiver.

I like the idea of a more 2 TE sets. I really would like to see them get a burner at WR to stretch the field leaving more room for TE’s to work the middle.

Frank Alexander gets a 4 game suspension for start of 2014/2015 season. Substance abuse violation. He saw a good bit of playing time last season so that hurts. Hope it is not a big problem he has and is just a 1 time mental error lapse in judgment

Hopefully that will be the last time Frank does something like that

Hardy was just arrested on domestic battery. Hope this is just a blip on the radar and he gets it together. You know the Panthers front office does not like any of its players in the spotlight on issues like this.

I think he can have a breakout season if he comes back from suspension with his head screwed on straight.

Return to Carolina Panthers
