I'm interested to see who they are going to consider. I hope they go with an offensive minded guy.

Our defense will suffer if they do.

Ok. It's bittersweet.

That's the right decision but with have to appreciate the right way the job that Lovie has done in Chicago.

Agreed. We probably need to make the change - but finding a head coach is damn hard, and you have to be lucky. Could be dark days ahead.

A Reid
J Gruden
B Cowher
T Dungy
C Kelly
B O'brien
Greg Roman
Perry Fewell
Mike McCoy
Bruce Arians

I'm honestly not impressed by any of these candidates.

Who the hell would impress you? 3 of those guys won Super Bowls as head coaches.

Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune provided a list of HC candidates for the Bears -- in slideshow format! -- following the news of Smith's dismissal. Some notable ones on the list include former Ravens HC Brian Billick, Broncos DC Jack Del Rio, Steelers OC Todd Haley and former Eagles HC Andy Reid.

From ESPN.com. Brian Billick wouldn't be bad.

I was just about to suggest Billick.

B Cowher-HC
R. Crennel-DC
N. Turner-OC

Also I think We could get Gruden out of retirement because of the QB we have and the offensive weapons we have. Cutler at Gruden camp would win us a superbowl with a fixed oline of course

Gruden worked with Marinelli in Tampa. Man, that would be really nice.

Don't know why we should assume that. Maybe we're just too used to having less as Bears fans, but the reality is the really good head coaches find a way to make their teams successful on both sides of the ball.

Which one of those guys takes the job as strictly a head coach ?

What do you do about Cutler ?

What about the defense ? we have a 4-3 defense but what if the coach wants to run a 3-4 ?
Got a Gold Name Plate that says "I wish you would"
