I'm guessing they will likely cut Carey?

I'm having a hard time understanding what you're saying but I think you're saying that the bears aren't going to give Trubisky a shot to win the starting job. If that's true I don't why you would think that

Pace said Mitchell is only for developing this season. Glennon is to start for the Bears.

That doesn't really mean anything. Teams say stuff like that all the time but there's always a competition. All that means is that as of right now Glennon is the starter. And although it's by far the most likely thing to happen he'll still have some sort of opportunity to play with the first team and if he impresses he'll get more and more of an opportunity until it turns into an opportunity. If he doesn't impress he'll be the back up.

Why doesnt it mean anything ? The fact is as I said before until they say that they are splitting reps 50/50 there is no competition and the only way Glennon does not start is A he sucks or B he gets hurt .

Why would they give Mitch reps over a Glennon when the fact that they are trying to get Glennon up to speed on the entire system before opening day .

Your belief that teams say stuff like this all the time is hilarious and I say this as someone who WANTS Mitch to get those reps .But the fact is without those reps you are not really competing for that spot as anyone who has ever played football will tell you .

Possibly, I heard on the radio the last two picks are more for punt return? Not sure...but Cohen has alot of critical weaknesses as a RB:
FCS competition won't compare to NFL defenses.
Small stature puts him behind the eight ball.
Played very little special teams

Seems like the TE and RB picks are to move the sticks and replace Jeffrey's production a bit.

Shaheen, Cohen, and the signing of Wheaton does give us more speed on offense. Not sure how it plays out, but we certainly have the potential to be more interesting on offense.

Eddie Jackson was another guy I was hoping the Bears took 3rd or 4th round. Love this pick.

Isn't be taking King or Hansen over a RB. I bet Tohen lines up in the slot though

In round 5, if Jake Butt or Bucky Hodges is on the board, would you be ok if the Bears selected one of them?

I was hoping we'd get a big body 3rd down and red zone option type of TE in the draft. Looks like Shaheen fits the bill. I was hoping for Chris Godwin or somebody, but analysts apparently have Shaheen rated as a better prospect. Good pick. I think it fills a HUGE need since he we have is speed receivers and Zach Miller, who is coming off a broken foot

Signed a TE from Miami too, Sims or something like that. Great pick. Pace is going BPA.

Gotta pick up a LT from somewhere. Another DL too. I dont trust our linebackers to stay healthy either. Need one of those too, though I guess Jones is back. And a corner, Fuller will probably he a safety or get cut imo. Just a guess.

Pretty much a consensus that Pace screwed up in this draft.

I guess we'll see what happens. I would certainly say this is the riskiest draft Pace has had in his tenure so far.

Hopefully for all our sakes, it works out.

Based on mock draft rankings, yeah, he messed up.... But mock draFT rankings NEVER turn out to be correct. Gotta wait 2-3 years.
