Nada.

All quiet on that front at the moment.

This may drag out all the way to camp.

I'm starting to think it's going to be a one year deal for the QO.

Idk why but I think Morey might be trying to remain flexible cap wise headed into next offseason. You think he's going to try once more for another big name?

Morey is using the fact that DMo wants to stay in Houston to his advantage, might end up 1year QO indeed.

I hope that no one gets excited seeing this thread bumped as I have no news. I'm still having a problem finding any news at all on this!

The Rockets front office is run pretty tight, but I'd imagine that we might have gotten some indication by now if there was interest from other teams or if there is a deal in place.

Thunder got a good young player in king joffrey for only two second rounders. If we lost dmo he would have been a nice replacement for that price.

Yeah, that's what got me thinking about this today.

Motie's agent has finally spoken out claiming that the Rockets have not made a serious offer yet. He does not expect anything to be done before October 1st, so it sounds like if Motiejunas will be back with Houston then it won't be by the time Training camp starts.

His agent is BJ Armstrong. Is that former Chicago Bull BJ Armstrong?

I fill like media day and training camp next Friday (FINALLY) will push the Rockets a little more, there's been no incentive so far to give a lucrative offer, you should never bid against yourself. This could also be agent posturing to try to get more leverage by threatening Training camp and possibly regular season hold out. That's usually why agents come out and say stuff like this

Yes same BJ Armstrong. He's been an agent for awhile now.

We better sign him I wonder why some other team hasn't sent out an offer just to screw with us

It would actually be doing the Rockets a favor. BJ said the Rockets haven't made an offer because they want Dmo's party to come at them with an offer, which he hasn't been able to do, so BJ doesn't want to bid against himself, as he has no leverage, the same way Morey doesn't so neither want to make an offer

When asked about Motiejunas during Rockets Media Day, D'Antoni said that once the business part is complete then he'll rejoin the team. This is really sounding like "when" and not "if" at this point.

I hate restricted free agency because of holdouts like this. Didn't Tristan Thompson's last well into October? Granted, his agent is Rich Paul but still

D-Mo has until 10:59 tonight to accept the qualifying offer. If he does it will be a one year 4.4 million contract with trade veto. This is D-Mo's last bit leverage so we could also see a deal get done last second. If it expires and he hasn't accepted it the Rockets have all of the leverage

Just keep kyle wiltjer on the regular season roster.
