I want to see ASIK guard LMA in the playoffs

Post#1 » by Dave88 » Fri Apr 18, 2014 12:21 am

The week-plus-long experiment to open the 2013-14 season of playing Omer Asik at power forward alongside Dwight Howard was mostly a failed one… with one very notable exception. Back on November 5, the Rockets rolled into Portland and crushed the Blazers, 116-101, behind strong performances from both big men. Asik, who spent most of his 22 minutes guarding Aldridge, held Aldridge to 21 points (9-of-19 shooting) and only 5 rebounds and a plus/minus number of -22, easily the worst on Portland’s roster that night.

Yeah, that would be great. Asik will shut down the middle like any player for the Rockets and he'll also challenge all the 16 footers tha LA takes.

Dang, LMA raining midranges on Asik. Is McDumbhell gonna finally put D12 on him?

Thanks for the honesty.

Can ANYONE even stop the kind of shots LMA is hitting right now?
The arc on those things is insane.

Even HE doesn't make those at this clip normally. UGH.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

I dont usually jump on opposing players tip but yeah, what LMA is doing right now is flat out amazing. He's looking like prime Dirk plus some. He looks unguardable out their.

It's obvious Asik would shut Aldridge down to 19 points on 35% shooting, but the media doesn't want to see that matchup.

It's easy to see the toughest shots he's taken were with Asik guarding him..

Also that was a steal technically late on Aldridge down on the baseline. Asik got all ball and tipped it back to Howard... ( THE BALL NEVER ACTUALLY HIT THE BASELINE). Where the ball actually hit on the ground was next to the line. It was a bad call and was actually a clean steal by Asik and would've given Houston a chance to tie.
