Still time for some roster filling. Hopefully.
Maybe by midseason.

It's an interesting roster, that's for sure. The team will be much more defense-oriented with Ariza in the lineup. Harden will continue to be the focal point of the offense, but hopefully the reports of his work on improving defensively come to fruition.

I still think that we are going to see another trade before the season starts, so I'm not forming solid opinions yet. That said, I expect to see solid bench performances from Papa & Daniels right off the bat. I do think that Nick Johnson is showing the potential to be a solid contributor by the end of the season and the playoffs, but I expect to see him & Capela spend some time with the Vipers just to log consistent minutes early in the season.

Dorsey is no Asik, but I'm curious to see what he provides as a backup big man at this point in his career. I love the fact that we are bringing in two bench guys who are reported to have good chemistry together already.

Ariza: not sure what to think just yet. I haven't watched him consistently over the past few years. When talking to those who have they seem to be of the opinion that this was a good signing for this team. I know that he will bring it on defense and that alone is a good thing.

To me the players with the most to prove this upcoming season are Jones & Motie. Will either of them have a breakout season? I don't know. I don't even know if we need a "breakout" season from them; we just need solid, consistent play.

At the end of the day it all comes down to Harden & Howard.

Hamilton went to the Raptors. We should have kept Aaron Brooks.

Would love to have Okafor too, but sounds like he isn't ready yet. Roto world had this link to the Akron Beacon the only thing I found on Okafor.

Emeka Okafor, probably the best in the remaining field, missed all of last season with a serious neck injury and at least one source with knowledge of Okafor’s condition believes he could miss at least the first couple months of this season.

I would be shocked if Capela opens the season on the active roster, he's almost definately in the d-league for most of the year.

I suspect Nick Johnson too, at least to start the year.

Ish Smith will probably get a spot if only due to the 3rd guard thingy (and it's not like Canaan is such a sure fired option at this point.) . the other one I have no idea,

Anyone know if we are re-signing Francisco Garcia? NBCSports quotes Feigen as it being possible. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... co-garcia/

2 guys I'd like to see stick are Gee and Adrien. I really like Adrien's hustle and he's got the potential to be a nice surprise for the Rox and Gee has shown he can produce with time. However, with Garcia coming in, I'm guess Gee is out.

I also read the Rockets might be interested in Ramon Sessions, but that appears to not be taking much shape, although I think he'd be a nice addition.

I didn't like the Garcia signing I was hoping gee would stick too

I was hoping Ariza then papa and gee fighting for second unit time

I want to keep one of Dorsey or adrien but not both (I prefer Dorsey but that's because I liked him out of college)..too bad they're both guaranteed

Came here with peace, but that bench isn't very good.

Hopefully D-Mo gonna break out. I also like Nick Johnson, I think he's the real deal.

"Very good" it may or may not be. Very unproven it most definitely is.

I don't exactly expect it to be better this year than last year (for once), but "whatever helps you sleep at night."

13. Nick Johnson (RGV/Rox time-split)
14. Clint Capela (RGV for most of the season)

15. Alonzo Gee, if not already traded by then.

I think Adrien is pretty much a lock to make the team. He's the only guy who I'd be comfortable playing some backup center in case Howard or Dorsey misses a few games. Also the only true 'big' PF replacement option if Jones or D-Mo were to get hurt or traded. Capela isn't ready at all from what I've seen.

Gee, I would think, will only make the team for salary filler reasons, although I actually expect him to be traded in some sort of package before the season.

I very much doubt that Rockets sign Sessions, unless it's some sort of follow up signing to Beverley and/or Canaan getting dealt.

Sessions works pretty well as a combo guard and, I think, fits fairly well into the current roster. He can play behind both Beverly and Harden and keeps the ball moving. I'd like to see a trade that returned Sessions and Zaza to Houston.

Ultimately I think Rondo is still a primary target with no Bosh/Melo.

Man...If only Bosh would've signed with Houston. I'd imagine the roster would look similar except Parsons still around rather than Ariza. Kosta still maybe coming over? I feel like that team would dominate Cleveland's team as well as give the Spurs a run for their money.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.
