2nd round; I believe that these players will bring a ring.

Petr Cornelie is a PF/C out of France that fits well with Harden and MDA. High energy, 40% from 3, rebounder. He is so young is the only reason we have a shot at him in the 2nd.

Malcolm Brogdon SG (6th man) could be a lockdown defender that can score when called on. High IQ player at plays big in the clutch. Good size at 6'5"

Michael Gbinije 3 & D wing with handles, IQ, and well rounded game. He is older at 24 years old. 6'7"
Maybe our Parson 2.0

Pascal Siakam PF high energy well skilled putting up 20 & 11.6 but from a small school. He is 6'9" plays from the outside but still can rebound and play d in the post when need. He is perfect to play next to DMo (our starting 5).

I want them all and would trade to get them all....

Both those guys scare the hell out of me. Zhou Qi is a lot more of a project though, not even close to an NBA body

that's why they are projected as second round pick
if they are ready they will be gone before 15th pick

IMHO we got enough young talents (Dekker, Harrell, McDaniels, Capela)
we don't need another 4 years college senior added to the team
whoever Morey pick better be some project for future

Rade Zagorac would be a great pick if hes still at 37, once he adds to his frame I Think he would be an awesome combo forward, has shown he can be a good shooter, has great length, athleticism, and handle

Morey discusses moving into the first round. A lot of teams with multiple picks in the first round this year.

Philly #1, #24, #26
Boston #3, #16, #23
Phoenix #4, #13
Denver #15, #19
Toronto #9, #27

Boston has five second rounders as well so I doubt they'd be interested in our 2 seconds for #23.
Philly doesn't care about second rounders costing less than the first rounders since they are so far under the cap so I don't think they would want to deal with us either.
I guess #37 + #45 could get us Toronto's #27 perhaps? They need to resign DeRozan and Biyombo so may want the savings?

I think trading Ariza is the best way to get a mid first. Chicago's #14 perhaps?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

sometime it is not about how many picks
it is about how much playing time you can give them
Capela, Dekker, Harrell, McDaniels
we have 4 guys that need playing time

Well he's falling down draft boards fast. A lot of scout believe he has lied about his age and is actually anywhere from 21-23

Scratch that bucks might pick him 10th which makes no sense, they could've traded back, gotten another asset and still got their guy but oh well

2016 Draft

Post#34 » by Mr. E » Fri Jun 24, 2016 1:43 am

Looking more and more like the Rockets won't be moving into the first round.

Not terribly surprised. It is frustrating to see teams like OKC & Indy improving while the Rockets are quiet.

Ariza could have gotten a first rounder.

Yeah but that would've been a dumb trade unless you could get a guy that would help now. The Rockets want to win now
