Lions vs. Bucs: A Must-Win

Post#1 » by Icness » Fri Nov 22, 2013 9:51 pm

Detroit hosts 2-8 Tampa Bay.

Bucs will be without Dashon Goldson. Nate Burleson will be back.

In fact, all 53 active roster members practiced on Thursday. That's freakishly lucky; the Packers haven't had more than 46 practice since Week 2.

Amazing bucs front 7, WR still struggle to get open and Revis on CJ. i predict we lose. This team and coaching has given me 0 sense of belief that they can do anything

Coaching is also a concern, but TB shouldn't score enough to win this one. Revis v Megatron is must-see TV

LOL. What an abomination by the offense and special teams.

At what point do we stop blaming the players in the secondary and start blaming the coaches. I mean you look at our secondary and we obviously have talent and size, or at least above league average, yet it doesn't seem we can cover anyone. Buc QB said they read our scheme on the 85 yard TD, meaning that obviously our coaches and their outside the box thinking is not fooling anyone.

I was listening to 97.1 this morning and a guy called in to say no, it's not the same old Lions. The old Lions had no talent and this team does, so they're losing for different reasons and thus aren't the same old Lions. The radio show host said, "Losing is losing. Until the team shows that they can consistently win the games they're supposed to win, they're the same old Lions." Hence the unwritten moniker--"The Detroit Lions...finding new ways to lose since 1957."

Gotta love Schwartz' comment..."We have five games left and we're in first place in the division. That's the mindset of this team and I like that." Ok, Jimmy ol' pal. You won't be in first place much longer if the team keeps playing the way they are. I am not enamored with the lack of a sense of urgency in that comment.

And I was in a big ass suite for the Bucs game too. Food, adult beverages, the whole nine yards. Could have been a fantastic day but noooo...
