College Football is just stupid. Going undefeated in a P5 conference and not getting a chance to play for a championship is a travesty

Yeah, never imagined a scenario in which I could actually feel bad for Florida State, but here we are.

He did the NFL game Thursday night in Dallas, flew to Vegas to do Oregon/Washington Friday night, flew overnight to Atlanta to do the 3 hour College Game Day Saturday morning. He's burned out lol

This is a total disgrace. I hope there are severe repercussions, up to and including sabotaging the CFP process in future seasons. Teams like FSU and the rest of the ACC, and any team that could easily find itself in a similar position, can't take this kind of abuse lying down.

Imagine if the 2017 Eagles got left out of the NFL Playoffs because MVP candidate Carson Wentz got hurt

I mean tOSU got in with their 3rd stringer winning a few years back. Problem is FSU didnt have a crappy wisconsin team to run it up on.

Not even kidding, but I'm sure the committee members wallets are feeling quite a bit heavier today.

Badgers were 10-2 going into that game and were higher ranked (13) than Louisville this year (14) and had wins over 3 ranked teams. Their 2 losses were by 4 and 6 points.

I apologize to anyone whom I managed to convince that this wouldn't happen. I understand that the committee has made some debatable decisions, but I honestly believed that they were always trying to put the most deserving teams in, regardless of the inevitable controversies. I did not see any reason to believe that they would do something this corrupt, even though they were probably never this tempted to do so before. I will try to be more cynical next time.

Praying for Bama over Texas in the final, so that FSU can win their bowl game and get the most votes in both polls - maybe even unanimously. That would be a great way to tell the powers-that-be to go eff themselves.

ETA: Texas winning would also be an option.

OSU also needed to be impressive to separate themselves from TCU in 2014, since they each had one loss. This isn't really comparable. FSU is not like Cincinnati, where their whole undefeated resume rests on one really good game. Nearly week in and week out, they play competitive power 5 teams that can upset a top team on any given Saturday.

I'm not saying FSU shouldn't be in, I believe they should be, only that OSU beat up on a "crappy" Badger team is incorrect.

I agree completely, just saying that FSU advocates shouldn't even have to rely on arguments comparing them to the 2014 Buckeyes in the first place.

Writing was on the wall as soon as they couldn't stop talking about Bama and Georgia during the ACC championship game yesterday. Corrupt playoff committee being owned by ESPN with a vested business interest in SEC virtually guaranteed the outcome. College football as an institution is broken.

Since Jordan Travis being hurt single handidly cost his team a chance at winning a championship he must be the best player right? Which means he should win the Heisman?

Is he in the SEC though?

If Georgia had won, say perhaps because of a slight change in the way the game was officiated (just making that up of course), then I think FSU would have obviously been ahead of Texas. Let that sink in for a second if you're not yet sure how biased this decision was. Texas lost at home to Oklahoma, but the CFP was so determined to put the SEC in that they also put Texas ahead of FSU just to make it viable.

The Badgers team that lost 59-0 was a classic B1G West mirage. It's asinine that the committee is using that team as a justification to keep FSU out.

Yeah thank god they are putting that cow out to pasture, what an awful way to split the conference up. 0 and 10 or something. I am bias though because I can't stand 99 percent of badger fans.
