I don't remember anyone being down on Watson after last season. Not saying he's a clear cut no.1 receiver or anything but we should be probably looking elsewhere.

On the other hand, Doubs has now dropped a game winning TD against the Patriots, and had 2 crucial drops against the Lions in the last game of last season and tonight against the Raiders. Starting to become a pattern.

Love's accuracy hasn't been what it needs to be, but every game too many poor routes ran leading to an inability to get open, and too many drops across the board by Packer Recievers. Young team, etc. etc. which is true, but frustrating.

To your point, Doubs has had several drops. IIRC, that was an issue for Davante and James Jones (I think) the first year or so too.

To be fair Crosby is awesome and he wrecked sh*t against a young line.

Another slow start, very poor play calling, Barry still has a job, rarely aggressive (esp early). It's the same issues every week. Outside of the Bears game, the offense has had like 3 good quarters all season.

It starts with an apparent weakness of preparation for the onset of every game.

I went into this season thinking that the first few games would be rocky and then they'd get some traction. They are going to get better, but not as much as I hoped, I'm afraid.

We have actually gotten worse as teams have more tape on how we play with love. We also suffer from all the same poor fundamentals and attention to detail problems we have in past years with guys running routes to the same spots and not even executing plays how they are designed. I dont know how much of that is a player problem vs coach problem but it's bad and it's on both sides of the ball.

I mean for example our defense lined up preston smith on davante adams multiple times without the offense having to do anything particularly creative to get that matchup. That can't happen.

Over the last decade the youngest team in the NFL each season has gone a combined 50-112, averaging 5 wins a season. Young teams are almost always really bad. This Packers team is no different.

Murphy isn't retiring until 7/13/25. Chances are he just runs out the clock and no major changes will be done before then.

Curious how those teams fared the next season.

Also, I can't be the only one who is happy all those morons covering the Packers on their trash podcasts don't get to put all the blame on Barry tonight. No, I'm not defending Barry and he should have been fired years ago. I'm just calling out the garbage narrative that Barry is the root of all evil but the moron who hired him and led a bottom 5 offense before becoming a HC here is never to be blamed for anything but is credited for every single positive thing that happens.

I just hope jobs of a whole bunch of bums stealing money from the Packers including MLF don't get saved by a joke schedule or MLF's historic regular season luck this time around.

Fire Gute asap, hire a new GM outside of the organization and let him prepare for the draft and pick his coach. If any of the candidates say MLF is their coach during the interview make sure to burn their CVs and never let them in the building again.

Mid-July isn't a great time to be overhauling the FO and Coaching staff either. Hopefully, Murph's successor is functionally calling the shots by the end of the 24-25 season.

I think I’m ready to trade this guy more bark than bite. See if we can get more draft capital in trade up for a QB. After all the years of the defense blowing games season after season he has the nerve to make a comment like that.

Matt Schneidman with the pullquote that made Jaire's comments sound worse than they are. Shocking.

Never mind Schneidman hooked me that quote is very out of context. What he said wasn’t that bad in context.

Still wouldn’t oppose dealing him as an expensive cover corner in Barry’s soft shell defense is kind of pointless.

Saying too much? Probably. But this also feels like something relatively benign that probably was resulting from a leading question, as the media is wont to do. This doesn't strike me as actually aggressive.

EDIT: Ok yes that is exactly what happened lol.
