If it was just for this year I'd rather have Reed.

But I believe the key to long term success is keeping Rodgers health. So once Clifton is gone, having quality depth a T is huge. Not to mention if we can kick Bulaga inside and he is as good as talked up at G... we could have a ridiculous o-line with Newhouse and Sherrod at T, Bulaga and Sitton at G and Wells at C.

Only ends up who the better player is though, not season one. LT is more valuable than OLB if Sherrod pans out, which is pretty likely given TT's track record.

I agree, except if that player is a defensive lineman. Then I blindly dislike him, unless I had already liked him.

Queens could get the 2nd pick, is there anyone that we should be worried about them getting? Luck will be gone and I don't think an OT or CB really helps them. Would they be looking at Landry Jones?

They just drafted Ponder, and he's been decent enough.

Anyway, that MLB from Boston College looks really solid maybe as a second rounder.

Still or Crick may be there @ 32.

Crick? He hasn't impressed me at all and he's out for the season.

I think Crick was healthy for about 6 quarters this year. He was a difference maker last year.

The other guy on Nebraska was Lavonte David. I don't know his 40 time, but he looks like he could be a hybrid strong safety and coverage backer.

An impact player at any position would be amazing.

We need a pass rushing LB or DL. S depending on collins outlook. Not sure who could be a potential pick yet, but if we get a player who has an impact in anyway. It will certainly help

It was being discussed in the B10 championship lead up thread, so I figured I'd bring it here. Here's where I think Badgers will be drafted. (Where they will be drafted/where they should be drafted)

Peter Konz- Top 20/Top 20
Montee Ball- Late 2nd/4th
Russell Wilson- 3-4th/2nd
Nick Toon- Late 1st or 2nd/3rd
Kevin Zeitler- 3rd/2nd
Patrick Butrym- UDFA/6th
Antonio Fenelus- 5/6-7th
Aaron Henry- 5th/UDFA

fenelus was very underrated this year. He might be a good nickel guy in the nfl, a steal if picked that that

Fenelus has looked good this year, but he certainly isn't a burner and 5'9 is probably a generous height listing.

both - in first 3 rounds - with a CB mixed in (move CW to S if Collins is lost)

then a G & C w/ 4th & 5th (we'll probably have two of each due to compensation picks)

Not sure if the Packers are going to be in a rush to draft a CB. I think they have very high hopes for House still.

Maybe so, but i believe in the Ron Wolf theory that you never can have to many corners. They are so incredibly important in today's pass happy NFL with teams often putting 3-5 receivers on the field.

It can be hard enough to matchup in those cases even with a healthy stable of corners, but have 1-2 starting corners get hurt and suddenly a defense is in big trouble if depth is weak at the CB position.

I don't know that TT is ever in a rush to draft any position, but I also don't think he has a problem with having too many good players at any particular position. It all depends on what's there. If there's an above average starter at literally any position (QB, WR and TE included) sitting on the board when we pick, I expect that TT would pull the trigger.

To slightly contradict myself, I think we've seen that where TT perceives need and available talent converging, he's not shy about making an aggressive move for that talent.

That group looks like a pretty decent total draft for someone.

I'd love Wilson to replace Flynn.

Wilson actually seems like what the Packers look for in QBs. I wouldn't be stun to see us draft him.
