Game 10: Pack at Kitties - Noon

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:12 pm

Tough game but even with injuries we are the better team. Detroit's backs are against the wall, they'll come out stong, need to get an early lead.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Zombo and So'oto both active. Just when you thought the Train of Death was derailed...

Here are the inactives for the Packers-Lions game today:

PACKERS
•WR Jarrett Boykin
•CB Charles Woodson
•CB Sam Shields
•LB Clay Matthews
•LB Terrell Manning
•TE Andrew Quarless
•WR Greg Jennings

Dezman Moses starts for Matthews. Casey Hayward starts for Shields.

ANALYSIS: The Packers are keeping four OLBs active with Erik Walden, Moses, Frank Zombo and Vic So'oto. So'oto just joined the team this week and probably will play mostly special teams. But he will be available to play on defense and probably will back up Walden. Boykin has to sit to allow both Greg Van Roten, Don Barclay and the four OLBs to be active.

LIONS
•QB Kellen Moore
•CB S Louis Delmas
•OT Jason Fox
•OT Corey Hilliard
•WR Brian Robiskie
•DE Ronnell Lewis
•DT Corey Williams

Nick Fairley starts for Williams. Erik Coleman starts for Amari Spievey. Ricardo Silva starts Delmas.

ANALYSIS: The Lions are down to their third and fourth safeties in this game. Spievey was put on injured reserve and CB Drayton Florence was added this week. Fairley rotates in with Williams and has plenty of experience in the middle.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lions really cannot afford many more losses so they should be motivated for this one. Could be a long day if we can't get any heat on Stafford.

If you weren't nervous, it wouldn't be pro football. I never get really nervous until the playoffs, though.

I'm more worried about the line without Bulaga. So long as Godgers stays on his feet, I'm alright with things.

The other teams in the NFC North turn it on against the Packers. If you watched the Minnesota/Detroit game last week, you know that they most certainly don't turn it on against each other. It was absolutely brutal to watch. I expect we will get an A+ game out of the Lions. Won't matter, Aaron will shut it down.

I think the line will be about the same, it's what would happen if we suffer one more injury up front that scares me.

yep, with the safety situation in DET, I'm not worried about scoring points and beating this team. Good call on the other North teams picking it up for GB.

The Lions pass D will be nothing special. They are starting nobodies at safety. EDS will be equal or better at guard than Lang was, who will be equal to Bulaga. I don't think there will be much pass rush though for the Pack. Its looking like a high scoring game ending on a Stafford int.

I can't remember the last time we started the game with the ball, probably because MM loves to defer and most teams love to take the kickoff

I always like deferring, so I love that MM does that.
