2013 Off Season Thread - Working On Ext For Burnett - Pg 129

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:46 pm

Sorry boys, due to a laptop going crazy the original thread was deleted (I'm trying to get it back). Lots of good info in there about the cap, etc we'll have to try to recapture it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I see in a couple mocks that Eric Fisher is falling to around 15-17. What would it take for us to move up ten spots in the draft to go and get him?

No. Not that we could even afford it if we wanted to.

It's not going to happen.......but I would do anything I could to get Revis, short of giving up Clay or Aaron. Even if it meant not having enough money for Raji's extension.

Woodson, Jennings, Finley gone and we would have enough money for Revis. Ted would never trade picks and Revis wouldn't want to come to GB more than likely anyways.

Revis is making close to $6 million, right? I think Tramon is making close to that if not more.

Last thing I said was Rodgers' extension should be around $8 mil/year more, Matthews ~$8-10 mil/year and Raji only about $2 mil/year.

And that's completely ignoring that he's not gonna be there.

Yeah. I can't see both the Cards and Chargers passing on him.

I was shocked to see him fall that far in the few mocks that I saw him drop. But I would be willing to give up our 1st, 2nd and 5th to get him if that's what it took.

I strongly disagree with these rankings of QBs under 30.

Matt Flynn, 27, Seattle Seahawks: We haven't seen much of him, but the fact that the Seahawks do a very good job evaluating players leads you to think he likely has some serious potential.

Why are the Seahawks given the credit for evaluating the talent? I question the writer(s) when they say something like that.
