I'm OK with this, but it would mean the Packers aren't as fond of Abby and/or Janis as we are or as some of us are at least.

4 positions are locked with Cobb/Jordy/Davante/Ty. Cobb and Jordy are #1/#2, but it's possible Davante and a Veteran could split the 3/4 spots and be interchangeable depending on the game situation. May also mean just more WR's and less emphasis on the TE's this year. Ty as a returner will have to be activated so 5 WR's would be active on game day in that scenario. Again maybe less TE's are available on game day.

With a veteran added, 5 spots are locked without Janis and Jared. It means one or both are gone, doubt they survive practice squad, pretty sure they will disappear like Charles Johnson did.

I get they want to add more fire power now that could help them immediately, but it would come at a cost of developing 1 or 2 young potential WRs.

I don't see it happening, but if it does I think they go 6 WR's deep and Abby gets cut. I hope not though, was so super excited when they drafted him.

I love me some Reggie Wayne, but there's just no room for him on this team. He isn't going to want to be the #4 wideout behind Jordy, Cobb, and Adams.

No thanks on Wayne. Then you have to either cut or try to pass one of our 1,800 young WR's through waivers (or put them on the practice squad and have them signed away) who might have a future on the team. Wanye does not.

It's a tough sell, admittedly, but I think there's a go-for-it moment where adding a piece like Wayne makes sense. A veteran security blanket in that Seahawks game might have made a couple big time catches against a nickel corner, dime back, or safety.

I think he'd be the dual #3 with Davante. Where him and Davante switch off being the #3 depending on the playbook/situation.



Kinda like JJ and Jordy both got on the field quite a bit even when Jennings and Driver were the top two receivers.

Good point about special teams, not sure how they would handle that. Would he be willing and effective?

If they can figure out the special teams situation I wouldn't mind picking him up. Limit his snap count in the reg season so that he can contribute in the playoffs. We've seen some older and more crafty WRs come up huge in the playoffs recently.

That Bears throw remains the best I've ever seen.

JJ Watt was #1, and as much as I love JJ, I wouldn't trade Aaron for him.

Nor would I. He has put up some of the greatest seasons in NFL history for his position, but what has that gotten him in terms of team success. The difference a good QB can make on a team is staggering and there really isn't another team sport that relies on one position so much.

I remember that. You were actually at my house watching that game. You we're going crazy and I was just silently in awe and disbelief saying "ridiculous" over and over.

Eta: just watched and realized they were talking about a different game. How in the hell did they not show the SNF game against Chicago where he was rolling right and hits Jordy at the front pylon 50 yards on a dart without an inch to spare? That was one of the best throws I've ever seen.

It's a good thing the season is won in November December and not September. Just need to stay competitive the first month.

Maybe I'm a little too sympathetic but I remember watching the players on the Bears sidelines and feeling bad for them during that ass whooping. Even Jay.
