classy dude who has more down field tackles (as the 3rd man to get to the pile) than anyone in NFL history.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

I wonder if they asked him to take a pay cut before releasing him
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I doubt it, I think he got the Charles Woodson treatment.

He would have played for a lesser contract in my opinion.

Salute to AJ. Thanks for helping bring a Super Bowl and being a solid dependable player for many years.

But this was needed and the decline has been bad. Hope he manages to go somewhere and continue his career.

This is the silver lining of the NFCC meltdown. Jones, Slocum, Hawk...all of this dead weight is being shed.

I love it. Kind of a mentality change. They arent OK with almost going to the super bowl anymore.

Me either, I guess it was a bad way to say it. Maybe its more getting away from "hopefully those 2 are good enough" to "not good enough to get us where we need to be"

I think they made these decisions midseason when they replaced both of these guys on the field. The Slocum thing maybe wouldn't have happened without the NFCC stuff though.

I liked AJ, and I appreciate what he did for the team. He was a good leader. But he just wasn't strong enough or fast enough to play in this defense, and the expectations that he brought with being the 5th pick in the draft never materialized.

I wonder what's next?
