College Football 2015

Figured I'd kick off the non-Badger college football thread since my Gophers start things off tomorrow night VS #2 TCU. I will be in attendance and hoping for anything but a blow out loss. I think this is our best team since the Maroney/Barber years, but we have an insane schedule (only team in the country with the preseason #1 and #2 on the schedule). Already have my Minneapolis hotel room booked for the Wisconsin/Minnesota game, so I'm hoping the Gophers can keep it close enough to have another shot for the West title in the final week of the season.

Also looking forward to Bama vs UW (obviously), tOSU @ VT, and Boise VS Wash.

I'm shocked this thread is about the Gopher game. ;)

Wow, BYU just beat Nebraska on a Hail Mary. I watched it live, and a BYU player hugged the side judge after he signaled touchdown. It was LOL-worthy.

I didn't watch the whole game but apparently Louisville shot themselves in the foot all game but Auburn's last possession was cringe worthy.

If they can get a stop they would get the ball back with about 1:15 left down by 7. Not easy but not impossible either, especially with the way their offense was rolling.

Play 1: Auburn gets a couple of yards.
Play 2: Auburn loses a couple of yards which gets offset by a Louisville player jumping offsides on the opposite side of the play. This allows Auburn to get 5 yards closer and use an extra 25 seconds on the restart.
Play 3: Auburn gains a couple of yards to make it 3rd and 2.
Play 4: Auburn picks up a 1st down but the play is called back for a hold. At this point it's 3rd and 12 with 52 seconds left and the clock stopped.

Louisville then decides to take a timeout here for some completely unknown reason, their last timeout.

Auburn then decides to run a simple play taking as much time as possible. They then run the clock down to 3 seconds before using their timeout. So it's 4th down with 3 seconds left and all they have to do is run a play and tell their receivers to run to the end zone and their QB to just chuck it deep and throw it out of bounds so Louisville can't get the ball back.

It's a good thing college football is just something I'll watch if bored on a Saturday and not something I care about like the nfl. Grew up in Wisconsin and live in Tempe so it's been a dual disappointment watching the badgers and devils suck this evening.

Go uww Warhawks :)

It's by far the funniest and most awesome thing a marching bad has ever done. Too bad I'm sure someone will pitch a fit and get the band director fired.

Seriously, as someone who has been in marching band for 4 years what a load of crap. That looks exactly like a Kansas Jayhawk and the USS Enterprise. The fact that the school issued an apology is ridiculous. They shouldn't apologize for people who see innuendo in everything. Those were on point shapes from a marching band.
