49er Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue Sep 29, 2015 12:04 pm

We have 3 games we should win before the bye. Never easy to win on the road but this Niner team is horrible. I am assuming Adams sits this out to get him back to 100% (hopefully). It will be interesting to see how we deal with Kaepernick with Matthews now in the middle.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This is a classic "gotta beat the teams you should" for us. The 49ers are looking horrible bit we are banged up.

The Adams injury ,looking like a high ankle sprain, I'd sit him till after the bye week actually if only to get him right. If it truly is a high ankle sprain one or two weeks won't due it and our next 3 are all games we should win even without him. Though Rams do concern me but that one's at Lambeau and we strait up roll over people at home.

Gotta believe Mathews in the middle will do wonders slowing down Kaep but he'll still make a few plays with his legs.

The concern going forward is we have zero deep threat outside of free plays. But that's just something we'll have to deal with going forward unless Adams gets his ankle right and his route running improves enough to open up the long ball or Janis somehow becomes the guys that everybody but me apparently thinks he can become.

All in all we're in good shape and the next 3 weeks are just about taking care of business and winning the games you should. No guarantees in the NFL though

I would imagine Quarless is done for quite a while. Wonder if he goes IR, do we call up Perillo and waive somebody, or if we roll with 2 TEs with Guion coming off suspension. Or perhaps finally decide to set Bulaga to IR/designated to return.

The 49ers are going to come out with a chip on their shoulder knowing that they haven't lost to us in forever. It's time to slay that demon.

We just need to want it more unlike the last few times against SF IMO.

This, like the Seahawks game, is another one to fight off demons from the past.

Adams is out. Montgomery and Janis might get more balls, we are thin at WR now.

Quarless injury looks like one Cobb had in 2013 except the knee...

Packers should roll easily but its San Fran on the road. Hopefully Burnett is back, need everyone on defense to stop the read option. Like seattle, the WR's dont scare me. Vernon davis is a shell of himself and Kap can not complete a pass. But they can run and i think they focus on running the ball. Their defense should not pose a problem for Rodgers. If they can get this win, the packers can make a run with some more winnable games at home.

Have clay spy on Kaeperdick and if he runs clay makes him pay.

Jones can still push things outside with his back shoulder catches and janis will run a few go routes to keep things honest.

The Niners look bad.....like 4-12 bad. That said, Capers has never been able to draw up an adequate game plan against Kaepernick, so until he does, I'll still be worrying in the back of my mind that he's going to run for 100+ on us. Granted, he looks absolutely terrible right now, so I'm still expecting us to shut him down.

Their "confidence" in knowing they haven't lost to us in the last 3 years is irrelevant seeing as that was with guys like Willis, Borland, Justin and Aldon Smith, Frank Gore, Crabtree, etc. All of whom aren't on the team anymore.

Ask me in March if we're true contenders.

You'll know after our divisional playoff game if we were or not.

How do my fellow gambling addicts feel about the line? Started at -9 already at -9.5.

I remember seeing a stat some place where if a team covers for 3 weeks in a row (which we have), the odds of them doing it the 4th week are like 10%.

I've got my $$ on GB already, as I think Rodgers is on a tear right now unlike we've seen anywhere, or anytime....

I've been a longtime proponent of that play being the best pass in NFL history.

That being said, this throw is so absurd, so precise, that is just boggles my mind:

Return to Green Bay Packers
