Ed Reed joins the Texans

Welcome to Houston, Ed Reed!

This is probably the biggest name free agent to come to Houston during their brief existence. Reed will join a secondary featuring Jonathan Joseph & Danieel Manning. While most wanted the Texans to keep Glover Quin, the two-year deal for the proven Ed Reed could be a difference maker in an AFC South division on the rise.

One of the few good things the Texans front office has done over the years...keep it up and perhaps they will continue to be watchable

Not all that excited about signing a old Ed Reed. Not the same player and this late in his career is not that good of a tackler these days. Only thing I really like about this signing is that he can mentor whatever safety we take in the 2nd or 3rd day of the draft.

Anyone else really concerned about the severity of Reed's hip injury?

Yes but only because there is really no other option outside of Reed. Keo sucks and D.J. Swearinger is raw. They down graded from Glover to Reed

I'm not worried about it. The Texans are just preserving the guy as long as possible.

Ed Reed cut by the Texans.

Do you think that he's going to try to go somewhere else, or is he done?

Finally they made a right move but is is just to late. Should have never signed him. Such a wasted move meanwhile in Detroit Grover is playing like a boss.

He must have been cut conduct detrimental to the team. Now was that his comments in Arizona or his play. My guess his play
