Franchise Tate?

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Fri Dec 6, 2013 6:45 pm

With some uncertainty about our star RB, Arian Foster, and his injury situation, would it be smart of the Texans to use the Franchise Tag on Ben Tate?

It won't be a popular move in Tate's opinion, I'm sure. That aside, I can't think of a player who might make more of an impact for one season at their position right now.

No. Runningback can be found everywhere. Giving Tate the tag and Foster salary isjust to much money to have at runningback. Rather draft a back up in the later rounds. A lot cheap.

No. I think the tag will go on Watt, if anybody.

Tate is the kind of guy who would refuse to sign his franchise tender until the last possible minute, then get "hurt" and miss the rest of the season. Better to just let him go.
