Texans on verge of trading Schaub to Oakland

The Houston Texans are on the verge of trading quarterback Matt Schaub.

ESPN’s Adam Shefter reported today that the Texans were expected to trade Schaub to the Oakland Raiders for a late-round draft choice in May.

No agreement has been reached at this point, but it could be done any time.

Schaub, the once franchise quarterback who lost his starting job this season, became more expendable when the Texans signed veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick on Thursday. That gave the Texans four quarterbacks with starting experience.

It's official now

Don't know how I feel about fitz but this means we probably will take clowney!!!! I really think Manziel will bust and clowney may too but he could be amazing, Manziel at best would be decent IMO

I can't believe we got a draft pick for him, even if it's a 6th round pick. Thank you Oakland!

Our QB situation is still terrible and I'm not too confident in any of the choices in the draft, but they need all the picks they can get because they have way too many areas of need besides just QB.

Schaub's contract got restructured with the Raiders....for less right now.
