Cool Hand Blake

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sun Aug 10, 2014 3:08 pm

Time to build a soon to be legacy and give Bortles an identity.

Yeah, it'll be a while until he sees action, but one gets the feeling that Bortles is going to become an important piece to the Jags destiny.

So, I will refer to Bortles from now on as "Cool Hand Blake".

I liked seeing Bortles outshine JM in their debut games. Seems to be reassurance that he was the correct pick. Looked very on-point with all his passing.
Favorite Magic players of all time:
1. Dennis Scott
2. Andrew Nicholson
3. Anthony "no-neck" Johnson

We will have to see how this shakes itself out.

Supposedly Bortles won't see first team action next week either, which is ok.

Bortles once again played well against the Lions.

He has really accelerated his learning curve.....

It won't be long for Bortles to make his debut unless henne plays extraordinarily well

Henne today and for the foreseeable future.

Just as well seeing now poorly the pass protection was during the preseason.

Give the line a few weeks to become somewhat cohesive if this is possible.....

Pass protection was ok during game - Henne made a couple of good throws in first half when starting in opponents half and totally sucked in the second half when asked to make just a few 1st downs from poor field position on each drive. One knew that was going to be the case unfortunately - with Bortles in there, my opinion is we would have fared a lot better and probably won this game!
