so daunte culpepper is announcing the vikings second round pick this year

ej henderson announcing the 3rd rounder, danielle hunter for the 4th, and paul krause for the 5th round (last two will be at the draft day event at the mall of america)

pretty cool they do this. wonder if it would be worth it to head over to the mall and check out the draft day event

Getting close. Both receivers and Myles Jack still on the board.

i'm happy with treadwell

surprising that he was the 4th wr taken so far and for a long time people thought he was the top wr

He's the guy I wanted, although it's not like I did a ton of research on this draft. He was supposed to be out of our reach a couple months ago.

Not to be negative or anything, but he did have a pretty serious knee injury in 2014.. Hope he can play in the NFL

I like that he can out muscle guys for the ball which can be important for a qb like Teddy that doesn't show pinpoint accuracy. And I'm always far more confident about guys that were big time HS prospects and stay at the top of their class when they move up a level to college. I think that he was the widely considered the #1 wr in high school and college and is not even 21 yrs old yet is far more telling than a 4.6 40.

He was an All-American in 2015 which means he probably healed pretty well.

LOVE this pick! Love the physical brand of football being created by Spielman and Zimmer with this roster.

So any favorites for round 2? Myles Jack stands out depending what they think of his injury situation. I'd expect someone from the defensive side of the ball. Either a DT, LB or SS.

i'm thinking it will be all defense tonight

probably safety and either lb or d-line depth. will be interesting to see if they pull the trigger on jack if he's available

also heard some good things about billings, dt from baylor and there's that ohio state safety

SI:

According to Pro Football Focus, Alexander allowed just 19 receptions on 58 targets for 258 yards, 95 yards after the catch, no touchdowns, and a passer rating of 48.7 in 2015. Jalen Ramsey didn’t match those stats, nor did Vernon Hargreaves III, nor did Eli Apple, nor did William Jackson III. When it comes to the top shutdown cornerbacks in this class, Alexander does stand alone statistically. He limited Notre Dame’s Will Fuller to one catch in Clemson’s 24–22 win over Notre Dame, which was the most high-profile example in a season where he negated the efforts of a lot of quality receivers.

Another 5 star HS recruit who was equally good in college. I really like that - it just seems so logical.

That's a lot of young corners. I wonder if it's any indication on Tre Waynes.

so we traded out of the third round

here are the details:
• Traded their 3rd-round No. 86 overall pick to the Dolphins for their 6th-round No. 186 overall pick, a 2017 3rd-round pick and a conditional 4th-round pick in 2017.
