they are having a kicking competition i think i heard right?
heard some commentary on the radio and they seem to think that getting a punter in the 5th round (or in the draft at all) is a big enough commitment to indicate that kluwe is most likely out - since you can grab punters easy off the street

They can save something like 1.5 million by cutting Kluwe, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was cut before training camp starts. Maybe it allows us to sign a linebacker.

Cutting him and saving a million per season makes sense to me, especially since Locke would be expected to be at least as good if not an upgrade at this point. Although it seems like other stuff might need to happen as well, since vets like Urlacher or Dansby would cost a bit.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

We're a mix of youth & win now. We need our young guys to take it to the next level so we can win at least one Superbowl in the next 2-4 years with AP currently in his prime.

what's the story w/ Mauti - I was under the impression he was an upper echelon ILB, but they were talking like he has had some major injury problems or somethin?
