Ya what is the scoop with him!? He what's suppose to be a contribute role player type guy right away.

Lamichael James is intriguing.

He might be the best we can do midseason. In terms of running ability, I think we went from the best back in the NFL to the worst.

Benjarvus Green-Ellis has been rumored to be on our radar. Another Cinci connection.

Matt Kalil is rated as worst tackle in NFL by pro football focus. Asiata averaged 2.4 ypc yesterday.

asiata didn't really have great ypc last year when he filled in either but yeah the o-line is a problem

i don't think teddy wants to run as much as he did (its good he can do it - but we should keep him in the pocket) so the most important thing going forward is improvement on the line so teddy isn't running for his life and gets hurt, and can sit back and pick apart defenses

listening to the radio this morning they were saying the identity of this team at the start was (or was supposed to be) power running with some vertical stretching of the field - and now we don't have (or can't do) either, the running game has no punch and we can't block long enough to give the qb time to find people down the field consistently

what kind of approach can we have going forward - do we try and build everything around teddy now?

Approach has to be quick completions, and get our playmakers in space. If we can at least get some short yard completions, that opens the run game just a little bit more, which in turn may allow us to actually be effective running the ball. Most off all, try to stay on offense and keep the clock running.

from zimmer's press conference

- fusco has a pectoral injury and greenway has a broken rib too
- kalil needs to have a short-term memory after a bad play, he's letting a bad play affect other plays

Lamichael James is probably the best gamble. If they insist on a "power back"...I dont know...Brandon Jacobs? I can't really think of anything.

They should sign Tebow to be the new running back. It's the one thing they could do to overpower the Adrian Peterson media circus.

Wouldn't mind the law firm. Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, Mike Davis, T.J. Yeldon, and some Abdullah guy from Nebraska are all good RB prospects.
