Garoppolo Thread

Gets compared to Romo because they both went to the same small school, but in terms of style, he reminds me a lot more of Brees after two preseason games.

Little gunslinger dude with big balls. Not gonna run, but he will throw it early and often. Accurate, can throw with fire or touch.

Googled the Brees comparison, and turns out his college Offensive Coordinator/QB coach said the same thing:

Getting excited over a quarterback sucks because it means Tom Brady is closer to retirement. I wish this kid well in 3-4 years though. I think we can say so far, probably the best backup QB Brady has had.

He's doing well. Like to see him get some reps in the regular season.

Heh, like that'll happen. When was the last time we actually saw a backup QB?

For the love of jeebus, I really hope we don't see Jimmy G for the next 3 to 4 years unless we go 16-0 again and they're at the end of the blowouts.

Yeah. It's gotta be at the end of blowouts.
Brady's getting up there, ya know. Make some blowouts, and let the kid in.

I'm pretty sure we all though the blowout would be the other way...
