After watching the Clippers on League Pass recently, I'd loe to somehow get Eric Bledsoe. They already have (presumably) Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups locked in for a little while, so hopefully Bledsoe could become expendable.

I wanted to trade our 1st (Pendergraph) for him.

Right now I'd offer Hans & DJAugustin for him, they might bite.

Who in the world would trade for either of those guys?

Mahinmi is in year one of a 4yr, $16 million deal, and Augustin is just a few months away from trying to find Jonny Flynn's phone number so he can contact some Australian basketball league teams.

Boston trades. Courtney Lee
Indiana trades. Gerald Green

Both guys are struggling with their new teams. Maybe a change of scenery would help both. Lee returning to his home town and Green going back to the team that drafted him and on which he enjoyed some early success.

What about a Granger/Augustin or Granger/Hansbourough if you guys want to do it earlier for Pau? It works int eh trade checker? Is Granger too valuable? I think a bigman lineup of Hibbert/Pau/West would work well, as Pau can take some load off Hibbert.

Never ever ever ever ever. Paus injuries are always a problem. He's getting old, and disappears come playoff time. I don't even want Pau, unless its a straight up Pendergraph-Gasol trade. ;)

Pau's TK makes it really tough to take his contract on. There would be better avenues for us to pursue.

This from ESPN Insider

San Antonio Spurs acquire: David West
Indiana Pacers acquire: Tiago Splitter, Nando de Colo, Matt Bonner

Why it works for San Antonio: The window of opportunity is still open for the Spurs, but Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili aren't getting any younger and it's hard to say how long that window will remain open. That's why it'd make sense for San Antonio to trade a bit of its future for more of the present, and that's just what West is -- a free agent at the end of the season who can come in and help Duncan on the interior with scoring and rebounding.

Why it works for Indiana: If the Pacers get a healthy Granger back in February and finish out the regular season playing well, they almost certainly would keep West in the fold for a playoff run. If they fall out of the race, though, or aren't playing like a team that can contend for the title, they would be wise to deal the veteran power forward for young pieces who can be a part of their future. Two positions of need on this Indiana team in the seasons ahead are point guard and power forward, and that's why promising international players Splitter and de Colo would be an ideal package.

Gotta think if it came to that, the Pacers could do better then Splitter and de Colo.

West is waaaay to important for us to get rid of him. He's our leader in points and rebounds.

Grang33r wrote:Btw, i'm only asking theoretically obviously. But i am not saying trade West now. I am only saying, if we keep struggling, and are a lottery team come trade deadline. There really will be no sense in keeping West IMO if we're way out of the playoffs and at that point they might even hold off Granger for the rest of the season.

This is all worst case scenario...

I thnk at the trade deadline if we are 500 or worse we could make some moves. #1 is can we even resign David West if he wants to come back? If Danny is back and playing well at all I say move him at the deadline for smaller contracts and expiring deals, basically break up his $13-$14 million hit on the salary cap. If we can get some decent value for him and free up the room to sign West I'd move Granger.

Our biggest problem is we need a go to guy like Reggie Miller. Paul George may become that guy but he has a way to go still.

If Hansbrough could return a respectable wing player I'd be game.

I could see Tyler to the Bobcats be a real option. He played for UNC.
