IMO the Pacers should pursue Brand off wavers. Scola is an upgrade compared to HAnsbrough too

Any chance of Barbosa coming back to Indiana? What teams are interested on him?

I'd doubt it if Barbosa comes back to Indiana after signing Green, but I've heard that the Celtics may be interested if they can't land Courtney Lee.

Nice, Boston is one of the cities with more brazilians in USA.

What about Hassan Whiteside? He might be a nice project to develop behind Roy and Mahimi.

Brazilians do well in Indy too. I can tell you Indianapolis loves Tony Kanaan more than any other driver in America. Helio, Vitor, Rubens, Fittapaldi, De Ferran etc.... Keep sending these talents, please, and Indy will make them legends, save for Rubens and Senna (f1).

Indiana is to basketball what Brazil is to soccer and racing. Much respect.

I would definitely take Amundson back over having ANOTHER project behind Hibbert. We already need to develop Mahinmi into a better rebounder, and I say we don't need another project. If we wanted another role-playing front court guy, we would just sign Amundson. He was an energy guy, and he was fun to watch.

Or you could look at it like Pendergraph occupies Lou's spot.

I don't disagree, but it all depends on the amount Lou seeks. He definitely earned more than the minimum this past season, so I wouldn't be shocked if he gets $2 per at the very minimum.

Now if we move Hansbrough we should definitely bring Lou back, because you can only have so many 6'9" pf's., see Houston. NBA.com lists Pendergraph at 6'9", along with Hans and West.

Speaking of Brazil. They were up 10 pts early on against the US.

Lebron scored 30, and the Americans only won by 11.

Kobe is a damn idiot for even comparing this team to the original.

I'd seriously rather have Lou back than sign Whiteside. He's million miles away from contributing and he'll only see garbage time in Indiana. Plumlee can play 5, so i'd rather have someone who can play 4 if Hansbrough isn't working. Bringing back Lou would be solid.

Pendergraph isn't Lou though. I haven't been impressed with his garbage minutes nor his summer league performance. And we could spend that 2 million dollars because we still have like a mid level exception (i think). I still say we should deal Tyler, and then it would make even more sense for us to bring back Lou.

Goes both ways! Sure, guys like Helio, TK, Vitor, Barichello, Emmo, Gil, etc all carved their teeth in karting in Brazil. However, if they didn't have a place like Indy to take it to another level, they wouldn't be who they are today!

But give Rubens another year or two of ovals and Indy Car racing, and he'll drive the hell out of a car at Indy. Very well may win one, if he sticks around another 2-4 years. He's that good of a technical driver.

I think it'd be a nice move for the Pacers to try to deal PsychoT and some possible future picks for Carl Landry. (Of course, it would have to be a sign and trade because Landry is a FA)

I don't know if we would have the cap space for this though, I just think it'd be nice for Landry to back up West rather than Hansbrough.

Oh I'm with you on Rubens, I was just saying he didn't need Indycar to become a legend because F1 already took care of that. I hope more F1 stars come to Indycar in the future, these guys are amazing. Bordais, Rubens, Baguette ??, Sato.. Indycar is solid.

While Indiana produces some very good drivers (Gordon, Stewart), they actually dull their skills by racing in Nascar. Pretty much all the good American drivers that are groomed for open-wheel racing, end up dominating Napcar.

Indiana does not produce America's best drivers anymore, now they're just as likely to come from Florida, Cali., Ohio, Illinois, or Pennsylvania. Basketball is another story though, in this arena Hoosiers are universally supreme.

if he is a free agent, that means we can just sign him. I think we have 2.6mm of our mid-level exemption left. we had more before we signed Roy and Hill which tells you we didn't really want to pay Landry or we would have signed him back when we signed Augustine and Green before the big new contracts kicked in. if we did want him though and were willing to meet an asking price higher than our exemptions, his trade value would be far less than Hansbrough plus picks. Hansbrough for a resigned Landry and a 1st round pick coming our way would be closer to fair value.
