Yeah, but the 2.6 we have left wouldn't be enough to sign him outright, which is why we would need to do a sign and trade.

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Greg Oden for cheap. I don't know if he'll be able to play this year, but sign him and let him work out with the team, our doctors, and facilities for a year and go from there.

Greg Oden is a big risk for any team unless they get him for the minimum, but I think Greg wants more than that. I expect other teams to pay him more than we can offer anyways, just as the Timberwolves did to Roy. They overpaid him, in my mind.

I'd like to see if we can get Landry for like, 3 years, 10 million. S&T for Hansbrough (not like he'd play much anyway).

Hill/Augustin
George/Stephenson
Granger/Green
West/Landry
Hibbert/Mahinmi

with johnson, pendergraph, plumlee as deep deep depth.

leaves us some flexibility for adding a piece mid-season.

^^ I think we're done with our frontcourt. It is pretty much set.

On the other hand, per Hoopshype, we're still in the race for Carlos Delfino. I have a feeling if this one does not push through we could see Barbosa in Indiana again.

I think a Barbosa decision may not be made on either side until after the Olympics.

According to Mike Wells of the Indystar, the decision is already made.
The Pacers feel like they upgraded the sixth man position when they signed Gerald Green to a three-year deal two weeks ago. Green is younger, more athletic and can be a better scorer than Barbosa. ... The Pacers also have Lance Stephenson and Orlando Johnson to go with Green off the bench at the wing position.

I agree with him.

Barbosa has played in a lot of deep playoff teams (albeit he was abysmal in the playoffs this year), and I would value his experience. If they were willing to go over the cap, I'd love to have him back on a one-year deal, even if he takes minutes from Green.

^^ I'd like to have him back too. Not that i don't trust Lance to be the primary back-up at the 2, but because i think the time Barbosa had last year with the guys was too short to blend in. We all know his track record, and in some games last year, he helped us out.

If we can have him cheap and for just a year, i'd be all for it.

Alright, looks like this thread is on it's way out. I'm letting it free to the forum; no more sticky.
