Re: Around the NBA
Sloan likely won't be back either though and it's easier to just waive him, especially since Watson is better. And for the Withey part, wouldn't we have to waive someone else before the trade since we'd be doing a 2 for 1 (or give the Pelicans someone else, would pretty much have to be Allen)?

Shayne. If you waive Sloan to claim Wolters, then trade Watson and waive Shayne, you're fine on roster spots.

But then again we're left with only Wolters as a pg so I don't see the point of trading Watson in that scenario. Just seems like a lot of messing around with the roster for Wolters when we could just waive Sloan, claim Wolters, and be done with it.

Sure. Either way, Get Wolters. Don't care how. He's a keeper. Same for Withey. Get him. Hes a keeper.

Re: Around the NBA
Jeff Withey is still signed with the Pelicans, no?
I agree on wanting Wolters, but 4 PGs on one team is excessive. Whether it's Sloan or Watson, one of them would have to go. But I can't confidently say Wolters is any better than either of those guys. It seems if one is to go, it would be Watson as it appears his bones are made of glass at this point in his career.

Wiz fan coming in peace
What's the status on Donald Sloan? I remember he was playing well at the beginning of the year while everyone was injured. Think the Pacers would send him to WAS?

Past the deadline, So we know the ultimate answer. But in depth, we likely wouldn't have since both Hill and Watson (our only other PG's) have both battled a lot of injuries this year. Watson has been playing with a steel plate in his shoe, and could essentially either play every game the rest of the way, or be shut down at any moment. Just no way of knowing. In that situation, it's just really hard for us to give up a sure thing with so much uncertainty.

Re: Around the NBA
Anybody just watch that Rockets/Clippers game??
LA had a huge lead going into the 4th and then went cold. Literally couldn't make a shot. And the Rockets couldn't miss.
And James Harden sat for the entire 4th Q. Absolutely crazy. Clippers vs. Rockets going to Game 7 on Sunday night.

Looks like CJ Watson is signing in Orlando. Good for him. He'll be a good vet there.

I liked CJ, I wish the guy the best. With LMA going to San Antonio, barring injuries, they've got to be the favorites.

Agreed, and it appears as if Manu will return too. Golden State vs. San Antonio going 7 games in WCF would be a treat.
