That's great. I will be rooting for Miles :D

After Burke's injury, they really had no other choice. Poor saps.

Oh, that's sweet of you guys to build him up like that, but you did the Scola deal for our 1st, just as you did the Gortat deal for a 1st. Plumlee is starting for the tank train while Len is still recovering fully from the ankle issues.

Ah maybe they werent' lying. Plumlee killed it in game one.... 18points 12 rebounds 3 blocks with 6 minutes to go

Weird night in the NBA-

1. Cavs beat the Nets.
2. Sixers beat the Heat.
3. Suns beat the Blazers.

We had a rough one too but found a way to win. I will say, i am very against the back-to-back games following opening night. I don't think anyone should play back-to-back until atleast the first Friday/Sat of the season. Heat and Lakers who both won Tuesday night looked terrible, as did the Pacers despite the win.

I wonder how Golden State will look when they must travel to LA now to face the Clippers on back-to-back nights?

So Plumlee had 18 points 15 rebounds 3 blocks last night. Heck of a game. Mihimi's career highs are 19 points and 10 rebounds in separate games.

Maybe. In drawing 100% conclusions by one game, can we also announce that Len was a complete waste of an NBA pick, doesn't deserve to play, and will always have trouble getting into the game? No? We can't state that? Oh, it's just one game?

I certainly hope Plumlee plays well, as he has a certain skillset that lacks in the NBA. Judging by how poorly he played here and the fact that he's considerably older than other 2nd year players, I just probably won't believe it until I see it. Also, other than investing a top lottery pick in a younger guy at the same position, Phoenix should be as great a possible spot as any for Plumlee to succeed.

I was skeptical. He was so horrible at Duke and I didn't even pick him up on my deep 20 team fantasy team before the game too, but I probably would if I were still around. Can't argue what he did in the first game really. Cost me money on Draftstreet last night.

I guess he is just a late bloomer. Duke has never really been good with developing centers though.

Plumlee is athletic, and humble enough to watch and learn. Its hard not to like the kid.

Developing story to keep an eye out for.... Derrick Rose left tonight's game with a limp and looked like he was in some pain on the bench.

Exactly. Duke has never been good with developing Centers. Coach K loves his small ball too much. Plumlee always had gifts that were easily seen if one wasn't blinded by his collegiate career.

Trade deadline with interesting things floating around.

Whispers of Parsons/Barea to Memphis for Prince/Allen....

Rumors of old friend Jarrett Jack to Brooklyn for Jason Terry, but Cleveland would want to flip Terry elsewhere for an expiring.

The waiving sand buyouts are coming down now.

Orlando buys out Glen Davis.
Atlanta waives Antwan Jamison.
Charlotte negotiating buyout with Ben Gordon.
Granger requesting buyout from Philly.

So, crazy stuff going on with Jason Kidd in Brooklyn. Even crazier? A brand new poster on the Nets forum broke the news of this impending storm almost 24 hours before the national news did, and nailed it almost word for word! Deadspin even picked it up and put it in their article on Kidd and his failed power play.

Insane.

The Heat just used their MLE on Josh McRoberts and their BAE on Danny Granger.
