I don't watch many games (Can't - final throws of PhDhell so no cash and very little time) so I haven't been able to form an opinion on Solo. Can those of you that see the team regularly tell me what you think? (Honestly)

I see him as a possible Jared Dudley type player. Good defender, doesn't care about stats, limited offense but generally plays within himself. Should be a nice compliment to PG and will help lighten his defensive load.

Just really a defender. Won't get much else out of him. Imo he's not impressive at all. I would like to see how he plays next season tho. See if he improves his game any

Mostly looking like a glue player. A defender that can do a little bit of other things. He can occasionally go off and score 20 points, but not often. He can sometimes hit the corner 3, but not regularly. However, he's SO cheap, that he's worth keeping around to see what happens, especially when other teams won't give you value for him in a trade.

If he becomes a more consistent shooter from 3, he could turn into a Derrick McKey. If he doesnt? Well, hard to tell. He'd be more of a Sam Young-ish career.

What I like about him is that he is full of hustle and energy. He tries very hard on defense. It is a lot harder to teach someone how and play defense and almost impossible to have them give effort if they don't want to, than it is to improve offensively.

If he can keep improving offensively and stay tenacious defensively, he will be a great role player for this team.

I've seen huge strides with his handle this year, which should open things up for PG13 as a shooter...

Cheers guys. I agree btw, he is cheap so no point in getting rid and he might still have a few extra tools come to him in the coming years as he develops. The Sam Young comparison is pretty accurate I suppose. Maybe, if he can get even better defensively, he could have a Tony Allen type of career?

I sure hope he could turn into tony Allen! That would be a huge asset to this team

He's a solid defender and I don't see why he can't make strides in his game going forward.

Sorry to double post, but I did not like his shot selection. Often times he hesitates on his 3 point shot.
