March Predictions

Post#1 » by Jermainevent » Sat Feb 28, 2015 8:28 pm

I was totally wrong about February, thankfully. Here's what March has in store for the Pacers

Mar 1 Philadelphia
Mar 4 New York
Mar 6 Chicago
Mar 7 @New York
Mar 10 Orlando
Mar 12 Milwaukee
Mar 14 Boston
Mar 16 Toronto
Mar 18 @Chicago
Mar 20 @Cleveland
Mar 21 Brooklyn
Mar 23 Rockets
Mar 25 @Washington
Mar 26 @Milwaukee
Mar 29 Dallas
Mar 31 @Brooklyn

The first half of March isn't terribly difficult, as the first 7 of 8 are in the friendly confines of Bankers Life. It doesn't hurt that we get the 76ers, Knicks twice, and the Magic in the first six games. The second half of the month is a different story, as every game comes against a team currently in the playoffs or a team fighting for an appearance in the postseason (Brooklyn).

Rumor is that PG13 might return for the March 14 game against Boston, if that's the case, the timing couldn't be any better. Although, he'll probably be on a minutes restriction and his impact wouldn't be near what it was, but even 20 minutes a game could be the difference in a game.

All of them look like potential Ws. If we don't make the playoffs with that schedule....wow. PG coming back mid March would do him wonders. Gives us time to click as a team, even if PG isn't playing much.

That's 9-7 for the month and gives us a 33-41 and in good position for the 8th seed and possibly the 7th spot. Although i do prefer the Hawks in the first round above the Cavs. (assuming they will get the 2nd spot)

You're right, now it's interesting to see how far this winning streak can go.

The Boston game is pretty big, we are no 2,5 game ahead of them and could increase the gap. Then we have Toronto who are in a big slump right now. After that we have some interesting games coming up againt Chicago and Cleveland.

the back to back in Washington and Milwaukee could be big too. if we could manage to win all the home games and split that Chicago/Cleveland trip, we should have left the 8-12 fight behind us and have joined the 5-7 fight.

Very tough loss last night, Brad Stevens is one heck of a coach, but that's not really news. Tough stretch coming up, need to take care of the Raptors at home, which surely won't be an easy task.

Crash. That was the sound of our world exploding. Cue Jim Mora - Playoffs? Play....offs?

When I got back from the game, my wife asked if PG played. I'd forgotten that a month ago he had hoped to be back now. I have to wonder if the team deflated when he wasn't cleared to play.

The slide continues, although not entirely surprising as the team feasted off weaker opponents to start the month. We are now a half game out of the playoffs, with plenty of time to catch up. Getting PG13 back would be a nice shot in the arm to rejuvenate the team. Vogel did mention that the team was dealing with some nagging injuries so maybe that too is causing our recent drop off in play.

Tomorrow night we got the Rockets, but I have a feeling they'll turn it around. Solomon Hill will slow down Harden (fingers crossed).

yeah pretty disappointing! Not sure what is going on but from hero to zero in the space of a few games is bizarre in every context. Play-offs are now slipping away at pace, if we don't make it, after having manoeuvred ourselves into contention, then I think Larry will have to shuffle the deck this summer.
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.
