Fired by the Nugs

I always felt like Shaw was going to be a good head coach so his performance in Denver was disappointing especially considering he was known as a guy that got along well with the players and then basically clashed with every PG that Denver had on the roster. I kind of blamed our swoon last season on Shaw's absence as a mediator between Vogel and the players, but maybe that was just Lance. Anyway, do you think we'll see him back on the Pacers' bench for the end of the season working in an assistant role again?

Ultimately, Shaw got screwed in a situation where the Nuggets front office and management had no idea what they wanted, and they left him hanging out to dry. He received no support from management, and they wanted him to play the triangle at first with guys that were not triangle players. Then, they wanted him to continue the Karl era, and then sold off the players this year and aren't sure what they want anyway.

Realistically, this shouldn't be the definition of his career. I'd love to see him somewhere he geta support from ownership. I'd love to have him back here on our bench.

I could see him coming back. He seemed to like it here and after this season in Denver, I don't know how many immediate offers he will get (fairly or not) for a season or two. We know him, we like him, our players like him. Let's get him back!!!

Looks like David West and the rest of the players and coaches had strong feelings about the hand Shaw was dealt in Denver.

I'd love him back here. He was much better than Mcmillan whose not horrible but seems to do very little.

I won't be shocked to see Charlotte try and nab him as an assistant to handle Lance though.

Bad press for Shaw. Players here loved him, but we didn't have the kinda guys Denver has. I've read reports about the team coming in hungover for practice. Just a tough break. Much better coach than Derek Fisher or Mike D'Antoni.

I would love him on the bench as well, he was a great assistant for us.
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.
