Outside of a dumb Pick 6, Sanchez looked good. He still needs to be less coddled and throw on long downs, especially in preseason.

Sucks for Geno with the injury, but McElroy looked solid.

Sanchez will start against the Jags on Saturday. You can expect him to look pretty good since Jax sucks. Apparently Geno had a horrible practice yesterday and threw a bunch of picks. I'd like to see how good our D is at stopping Jones-Drew. I know stopping the run is the biggest thing we need to improve on D. I like what Rex is doing with the fan method. I really hope Mark just gets it, because it's a similar system to his college system where he had great success and minimal turnovers. I feel much better about our offense now than I did last year at this time. I don't think we scored a single preseason 1st team touchdown last year. This game should be interesting.

Holmes (when he returns) and Edwards should start. Kerley should stick to slot.

And like I have had for the last several seasons, I've got a good feeling about Cumberland.

No love for Hill? He's got a ways to go in development but the upside is too much.

He looks the same as last year so far. Great speed, average hands.

Rex has a tough decision to make...it's like choosing genital warts or herpes

 Which QB is which? He also has a tough decision on that 3rd QB. I like McElroy, but with his injury, Matt Simms has stepped up and looked solid out there (hard for me to say since I don't like him).

Spadola has also done well out there too. Wonder how many receivers will the Jets take.

Spadola needs to stay...they better not Dany Woodhead him. I like Simms potential over McElroy with his noodle arm. Geno has all the tools but clearly isn't ready. I think a year of Sanchez would be nice for Geno, but what's the word on his shoulder?

Is it time to start worrying about our rushing offense?

Sanchez has a bruise, is day-to-day and not in the lineup this Thursday.

He probably wasn't going to play at all if completely healthy anyway.

As for the run, there are plays where it looks brilliant, but more often than not, I see the line backpedalling or whoever is at RB either stutter too much or run the other way.

Not surprised at Mcknight out after his strange camp, even with his return skills. Pretty shocked about Peterman though, I thought he'd start and anyone is better than Schlauderhaffe at C.

Yep, Braylon's return got cut short too. (See what I did there?)

It's also worth noting that the Jets signed Dan Carpenter. Carpenter is (was?) a very good kicker, and at worst an improvement over Folk.

I would've really liked to keep him, and get 5 or 6 receivers: Holmes, Hill, Kerley, Spadola, Edwards, and one of Obomanu and Massaquoi.

Let's hope.

Crazy as it sounds, the Jets offense actually ranked 4th overall in the preseason (2nd in passing, 6th in scoring). That's miles better than last year. I think Mary Morningwood is going to turn this offense around.

I like the offense's design, but I'm not expecting much unless the line and running game are absolutely rolling...The D needs that line to dominate and two of our young guns in the pass rush spot are hurt already, scary things.

It's scary thinking about it, but the passing game may have to open up for the run this season. If that's the case, I'm going to get a blanket to hide under during the many scary parts of this season.

Good that Spadola made it. Harrell sticking around makes me think Sanchez is gonna be out longer than they're saying. Reuland actually had a nice preseason imo. The fact that we haven't replaced Schlauderaff with a better option is absolutely painful. The Goodson thing fell apart quickly but I like Bell anyway, he keeps his feet moving forward and has an eye for slots (not that he's anywhere near as good as Goodson).

The defense needs to be absolutely dominant and I can't really see that unless Milliner is much better than his short time playing in preseason showed and Coples comes back a beast at LB.
