Not an every down back anymore, but I more than welcome this signing when anyone's seen this secondary this season.

Great signing, low risk, high reward. We had issues with passes over the top and Reed's presence alone should help here. And even if he does not do that much on the field, his presence and voice in the film room and on the practice field will be extremely valuable to Antonio Allen, Dee Milliner, Josh Bush and Jaiquan Jarrett.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

“I said ‘Mr. Reed, how you doing?’” Bush repeated to reporters. “’I'm your shadow.'"

Reed
Reed’s response was positive, Bush said.

“He said ‘No doubt,’” Bush said. “He was all for it, he’s a good guy.”

Reed might be a 35-year-old in a young man’s game, just released after an unsuccessful stint with Houston, but his addition to the Jets' roster was met with enthusiasm by players in the locker room, some of whom said Reed is a key addition for a playoff run.

Love that. I think the biggest impact Reed can have is on the future of our young guys who can learn from his tutelage. I remember Law helping our young CB's...one of whom now has an island named after himself.
