I would love to draft SS-Sam Carter from TCU, CB-Ifo Ekpre-Olomu from Oregon, and CB-Kevin White from TCU all three in the 7th Round.

This guy already said he's not signing with any teams unless he was going to get drafted in the 2nd Round or 3rd Round. He's throwing away a year worth of money and experience if he don't swallow his pride that's if he got nothing to do with the murder of his ex-gf.

I think Andre Holmes will be traded to make room for Debose to be the #6 WR. Plus, he won't be getting much time anyways with Amari Cooper, Rod Streater, James Jones, and Michael Crabtree on board.

Meh.. can only really evaluate the first 3 picks, unless someone has seen the day 3 guys at length.

2 weapons, a big upside DL.. I'm happy but not super thrilled. Call it a B+ because several of my favorites were there later and we passed on them. But love taking Amari after finding out about Leo's injury.. cool with Mario even though I preferred an outside rusher, really like Warlord Walford in round 3 as a complete tight end. The rest, we'll see. We're going to run a power blocking scheme and now have 1650 pounds on the OL. We have a complete #1 WR and a good with room to grow TE. Our front 7 on D improved a lot, with our secondary being the main concern, along with outside pass rushing. Pretty good off-season

Still interested in Gresham or we're fine at TE?

I think we've moved on. If we haven't, he has. There's not much of a role for him here anymore

We view the draft the same.
Happy with Cooper. Happy with Walford. Reserving judgment on Edwards. I hope he plays a 275-280 RDE and not at 300.

I thought the LBs/DE in the 5th round were interesting. Who knows how they will shake out in camp…looks like we're going to try and implement some of those Seattle packages on defense.

I would have liked Ifo late or Michael Bennett as a situational pass rushing DT.
It's not like Stacy McGee has the position on lock. He's got a lot to prove.

edit:
nice touch on getting extra 7th rounders. When UDFAs have the option to sign wherever they want, the extra 7ths work wonders to make sure you aren't missing out on players you're interested in.

I want the Raiders to bring in DT-Quayshawne Buckley from Idaho. He's 6'3" about 305lbs. He's active, explosive when he wants to be, athletic, and uses his hands real well. I never got on board with the hype of Stacy McGee and would love to light a fire under McGee with getting Buckley to challenge McGee for a DT roster spot.

The Raiders released WR-James Jones. Really?! He would be a good veteran WR to help out Amari Cooper instead of Michael Crabtree. I think some team would be willing to give us a late round draft pick for a serviceable veteran WR in James Jones at least, but we got nothing instead.

It's an odd move. One that seems to put trust in Crabtree.
Not a fan….but then again, not the biggest deal.

Was he serviceable? Crabtree offers more upside. Jones had unsteady hands and zero separation skills. Amari, Streater, Crabtree, Holmes, Thompkins, DuBose, Butler, Harper. We still need to shed 2-3 more. Jones was, at best, our 4th WR.. why not give youth a chance?

No one was going to give anything for him at 4m a year

It's a really odd move knowing that he still have something left in the tank, but got cut. The Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, or even the New York Jets can't give a 2016 6th Round Pick for this guy? I really don't get this move at all by Reggie McKenzie besides saving some dollars.

James Jones made some tough catches last season, built chemistry with Derek Carr, and would be a solid #4 WR for the Raiders next season with Amari Cooper as the #1 WR, Rod Streater as the #2 WR, Michael Crabtree as the #3 WR, Brice Butler at the #5 WR, and our other young rookie that's really good at returning kickoffs in Andre Debose as the #6 WR. I really thought Andre Holmes would be the odd man out knowing that we have a young solid WR coming back from a major foot surgery in Rod Streater, a mediocre princess WR coming from across the Bay in Michael Crabtree, a young WR that the Raider Nation have high expectations of for the next 10 years in Amari Cooper, a 2nd year WR with some promise in Brice Butler, and a rookie WR that's a kickoff return specialist that I think will be great for this team next season in rookie Andre Debose. The Raiders need a proven WR that's a veteran, is a class act, and can help this young WR unit instead of cutting him.

Anquan Boldin at 31 got a 6th.. James Jones is a plodding slot receiver who was due 3.66m. There was no trade market. Why would a team give a pick for the privledge of overpaying an aging slot receiver? They'd wait til he's released.

Vic Tafur said he was released because at best he was slotted for WR4 work and he wouldnt be happy with that. Plus, 8 drops, one of the worst yds/rec in the league.. We lost so little here. Only way iy can be spun bad is the locker room.. But does Amari Cooper need someone telling him how to act? He's a shy choir boy, and the entire locker room is good character guys. In the end, we cleared the way to be younger and better. Its hard to find fault in that.

I'd rather him have a vet around to go through camp. I'm hoping Crabtree can be that guy now. Just not sure Crabtree isn't going to go full diva and sew discord in the locker room.

but i'll say again.
