Some Trivia:
On this week in 1979 the Cubs scored 22 runs but lost 23-22 against the Phillies.

The Cubs are 3-15 in the last 18 games on Mothers Day. (Thanks Moms)

Why isn't Theriot leading off?
He always gets a hit in the 1st it seems like.

I've been saying this for weeks. There's no logical reason to bat Soriano ahead of Theriot. Ryan gets on base more and is a better base stealer. On the other hand, Soriano hits for more power so he should bat in a spot where he'll have more RBI chances. Lou is just very stubborn with this right now.

The wind is blowing straight in so maybe that means we will actually hit home runs since we can't seem to do it when the wind blows out.

Soriano is a good hitter don't get me wrong but he never seems to lead off the game with a hit. He always seems to get his hits (20 game hit streak) late in the game.

Well, our offense is struggling. I doubt losing our best hitter is going to help. This sucks.

It seems like every start we have a pitcher throwing a no-hitter into the 4th inning.
We just need runs to back it up.

its depressing hearing them talk about ted's great pitching performances this year and then you realize he only has two wins on the season

and as i type........... maybe things are turning around because the cubs take 1-0 lead on a matt murton single

Oh God JONES SUCKS. I have to start looking away at every at bat of his. Murton playing good lately though, trying to show Lou he should be playing more.
