Can't afford that contract for a guy who never plays, the same problem the Vikings had. They at least got a 1st rounder out of it, though.

What a terrible return on Seattle's part.

A 1st rounder for a guy that didn't even come close to taking a season's worth of snaps for them.

Not to mention he was really the only dynamic threat they had. Their offense is way worse without him in it.

He must have been really toxic in the locker room to hand him over for a conditional mid round pick when they are in the SB hunt.

Another thing wrong with today's society thinking: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11729 ... ti-bengals

I don't mean to say he should be chastised or demonized, but a game ball because he came back after a league suspension for driving under the influence? This isn't a win over cancer. This is similar to how I've heard people say that Vick is a great human being, exceptional. I understand he stopped killing dogs, repented, did his time, and shouldn't be demonized the rest of his life, but not killing dogs anymore isn't exactly exceptionally good. One might say he's given to charity, but he did that before and during his dog killing days. What makes him celebrated? I don't kill dogs either, where's my badge? ;)

Maybe the Denver game has just put me in a bad mood. Not in the mood for over celebration for another team for something less relevant to the person celebrated than passing for a record number of TDs.

Is it premature to call the claims of Hoyer being Cleveland's future premature? I mean a couple close losses, a few close wins, and a blowout of the Steelers and it seemed those hoping for a feel good story jumped the gun like those who talked about Cousins causing a QB controversy with RGIII in Washington. I mean, I'm not saying he won't be there for a long time, as I'm not one to count out competent QBs, but I heard so much about his success when they were 3-2! Let him get more than 1 game over .500 before trading Manziel (whom I have no real opinion of). I know Hoyer was 6-2 if you include last year, but so were others (not on Cleveland's squad, though).

It would cost about 100 million over 7 years. Gerald McCoy got 98:

that's absurd.... McCoy has health issues and is nothing more than a solid IMO.... no one to turn the game around or be a true force in a defense. He's just a solid player

I haven't heard a peep.... I don't know why seattle would do that now of all times...unless the returning package is something like McFadden with a high pick....

Adam Schefter:

Champ Bailey's agent, Jack Reale, said two playoff contenders were interested in his client. Bailey more interested in his next career.

Interesting. I said on here and had hoped the 49ers would show interest in him and possibly sign him when Brock was first injured. I'd be very curious to hear who the two contenders were.

I hope Bailey's mind is football focused and not "next career" mode already... if so, just announce retirement...

I wonder who in deed, Dallas? Philly? Detroit? SF? Balt? Indy? NO? Car?

Mark Ingram became the first Saints rusher tonight with back-to-back 100+ yard rushing games since Deuce McAllister did it way, way back in 2006! It's not surprising but that's a little crazy at the same time.

Just a random plug for myself:

PFF currently ranks Kenny Vaccaro as 80th out of 83 safeties. That warmed my heart a little considering how he was my 2013 first-round bust pick. :)

They ranked Eric Reid 28th at mid-season.
