Anyone else surprised that Brady's 4 game suspension was upheld?

I am jaw dropping-ly shocked it was actually upheld, given Kraft's pull with the league and his friendship with Goodell. And you can tell by Kraft's public response that he's just as shocked by the outcome as I am. I thought best case scenario would be a reduction from 4 games down to to 2, but I'm glad cronyism didn't win out this time.

Kyle Williams (former Niner):

Unfortunately, today I suffered a rupture to my Achilles and will consequently be missing this season. It's hard for me at this point to make sense of all of this but at the end of the day I understand and trust God's plan for me. My determination to get back and my work ethic will not diminish and I will eventually get back to full strength. I appreciate all those who have reached out and all of those who are praying. You all mean more to me than u know. Thank you.

Dang. That's really sad. I'd have a hard time choosing more than a handful of players in the NFL who I think are a better person than this guy. Too dang bad.

Anyone else hear that Crabtree has been an absolute monster in Raidees camp? I've seen the word "superstar" thrown around by writers when describing his camp. Apparently Amari is having some rookie struggles but those two combined could make Carr very happy.

That's typically how the Raiders react if they get an even average player. They're not used to seeing that. :D

Broken Jaw for Geno Smith.

He got "suckered punch" as I hear over the radio.

It's being reported on right now. Apparently it was nothing, just childish stuff and this no name linebacker sucker punched him, the guy was immediately released from the team.

ESPN is reporting that Geno was having a great offseason and hadn't even thrown a practice int until yesterday.

Only the Jets.... wow... maybe Petty will see the field sooner than people think?

Classic Jets fiasco even when Rex Ryan isn't there. New York sports is never going to get their act together.

Worst part is, it was over $600 that he thought Geno owed him.

This guy was a 6th round pick and a bubble player at best, he was only going to contribute in the league as a back up or special teamer, which means teams are going to overlook this and sign him anyway. Do you really want to throw your entire career away over $600??

This is the best thing that could have possibly happened to Geno. Now he won't have to play and show the world how bad he sucks for a while, and it's an injury that won't affect his play in the long run unlike a shoulder or knee. Dude should be writing a thank you card.

That would be a really bad thing for the Jets. Petty isn't retty (although I think he could be pretty good if they take the time to really develop him).

Interesting nugget on Chancellor.....

Now that those core guys have been signed, Chancellor expects to have his terms tweaked to put his deal more in line with safety Earl Thomas, who made more than $14 million in 2014. At Chancellor’s current terms, he’ll have to play 2015, 2016, and two thirds of the 2017 season to make $14 million.

So for at least the FOURTH time this offseason, ESPN has typed out Tomsula's name incorrectly this morning on their side header of what's to come up on SportsCenter. They continue to spell it "Tomasula".
