This was rumored/speculated two weeks ago when he re-signed. Now confirmed.

Anyone game for taking on the Dion Jordan project? He was waived by the Dolphins

Redskins offered Cousins a 5 year extension. If he accepts it then that's the end of that. If he declines it, I would have to assume that trade talks I'll heat up

I know of a 9th grader I'd rather throw multiple hundred thousands at over taking him on for the same money. I don't think I'd ever be able to trust him again even if it's for small dollars and small risk by NFL standards.

Daniel Jeremiah or Bucky Brooks is saying Mahomes is definitely a first rounder now. One of them has him rated 4th best player.

Jeremiah has Jamal Adams as second best, comparing him to Sean Taylor and Eric Berry.

I can't get on board with that. The dude is talented enough to give a shot at minimal money. Worst case scenario is that he bombs out and proves that there is no place in this league for him. Best case is that he plays up to his abilities and turns his life around. Worth a shot to me

Yeah, for the minimum it's not something I would get enraged over, unless retroactively I found out it took them out of the running for somebody I have always loved, but if it were up to me I'd still pass on it for the minimum. This is a time where I won't get that upset if somebody wants to disagree with me, though.

Of course I wouldn't want them to put all their eggs in that basket either, I would put him in a position to try and prove that he belongs in the league first, earn a roster spot second and third carve out a chunk of PT. There would be heavy competition though.

I've played a ton of football in my day and I've played with a lot of guys with troubled pasts. Some of the turn their lives around and really make the most of their opportunity, others drop the ball and go back to their old ways. In my opinion, for the sake of the guys who do turn things around, I think it's important to keep giving chances.
