Haha. Seriously. This win could cost us five or six spots in draft order. Brutal. Not at all worth it, even though I hate rooting for the Niners to lose.

Robbie Gould seems like the only Niner that is concerned about getting a higher draft pick; the rest, especially Jeff Wilson, seem oblivious to that.

Players want to win regardless

He's a free agent.

He has to perform as well as he can to attract offers if the 49ers don't extend him. He was in the dog house for about a year until injuries force the team to play him and he's had some good performances.

If Kyle wanted to manage for the draft, he would have played someone else, like of the practice squad.

This isn't the first time the 49ers have won games late in the season to hurt their draft slot.

Guess Kyle likes some of these meaningless wins.

That’s a fan thing. I promise that there are 0 players on the field today thinking about their teams draft position.

I'm mad that they won, but really the anger is more towards the Cardinals for just sucking so massively today. The 49ers gave them several opportunities to take the game and they simply refused. F***ers.

I’m not mad that they won. They played well, the coach/former player in me loves it.

Evidently I should have used green font to make it more obvious.

The fan in move loves that they won especially against a division rival but the strategist in me hates the fact they won and lost draft positioning.

And it's good to see the team is still playing hard for Shanahan which is a sign everyone is still fully buying in.

They didn't play hard last week. Poor tackling, made some backup RB look like Bo Jackson.

Some good news on the draft pick front. At 6-9 and likely 6-10, we currently pick last among 6-9 teams at 15. However, literally every other 6-9 team should be favored to win this week. The Pats (14th) play the Jets (though they are on quite a roll all of a sudden), the Vikings (13th) play the Lions, the Chargers (12th) play the Chiefs, who will presumably sit starters, and the Cowboys (11th) play the Giants. So we could jump all the way up to 11th. Denver (10th) has a higher SOS than we do, so if they can knock off the Raiders we could jump them as well - though beating the Raiders might knock their SOS below ours.

Still not as high as I would have liked, but it looks a lot better than 15th right now. That win against the Cards may only cost us one or two spots in draft order after all, as none of the 5-10 teams are particularly likely to win this week.

Beathard is steaming garbage. It's an embarrassment he's still on this roster. We'd be pretty good with even a passable backup QB. To say nothing of a decent starter.....

Seattle pass defense is bad.

Adams isn't useful if he isn't blitzing.

Sucks to lose to Seattle, but with GB and NO winning, they are locked into the 3rd seed anyways. Lose and get into the top 10 for the draft

They beat our 3rd and 4th stringers. That team is going nowhere

How come Dallas is lower if we finished with same record and they beat us? SoS?

The win against the Cards cost us three spots in draft order. If only the Cowboys and Broncos had managed wins....

At 12th, I think there's a chance one of the top-four QBs falls to us, but it's a bit of a longshot. I figure the Jags and Jets are both very likely to take a QB. Dolphins and Bengals pretty unlikely to, though both could be looking to move back. Eagles and Panthers are both pretty likely to be in the QB market. Then you've got teams like the Giants and Broncos with recent high picks who haven't really panned out to date, and teams like the Falcons and Lions who might be looking to move on from older starters.

I can't see us making a really aggressive move up for a QB, so my money is on us taking a player at another position. I'd love to see some of that Shanahan QB-whisperer magic one of these days. The Mullens and Beathard experiences have me wary of really buying into that. It's a huge strike against Shanahan that he a) traded up to get Beathard about two rounds earlier than anyone else was considering him in a draft in which he passed on two pro bowl QBs (actually, apparently he passed on three as Trubisky made a pro bowl; now that's just a joke, alternates shouldn't be considered pro bowl players), and b) stuck with both Beathard and Mullens and neglected to look elsewhere for a viable challenger at the position.
