naturally, i love the tunei signing... as said, he's an elite blocker. outstanding hands. longer strides make up for a lack of speed. epic performance in the rose bowl this past january.

Whoah, so Carp is likely out for a year? i don't worry that much about the year with some of our other picks, but it's hard for me to see a 1st year player miss his whole second year and come back into play the 3rd year... this may have been a wasted 1st, though it's not really P&J''s fault.

Also.... Wilson might start???

Well, holy ****...

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. to the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional late-round pick, a source has told FOXSports.com.

The two teams are still ironing out the language of the trade.

The Bucs announced they have signed former Colts tight end Dallas Clark.

Winslow had 75 receptions for 763 yards and two touchdowns last season with the Bucs. He averaged 10.2 yards per reception and played in all 16 games last year.

So we have Kellen Winslow and Zach Miller as our top TE? I know Winslow has some baggage but he doesn't miss games and catches a hell of a lot of balls. As much as draft pundits thought the Seahawks needed to draft a WR, we have a fair collection of offensive weapons right now. We can absorb the cap hit this year, and apparently all we've lost at worst a 7th round pick in '12 [that can become a 6th round pick].

I really don't know. It's hard to believe a 3rd round pick could end up starting over Flynn, but if Wilson 'won' the QB competition I wouldn't be horribly surprised. If we were talking about someone like Tannehill I'd say there was no shot, but Wilson's a bit different. He seems like a ridiculously quick study and clearly PC/JS are excited to see how the team can use him.

I really hope Wilson succeeds. In the grand scheme of things I don't care how the Seahawks win so long as they win, but it would be a heck of a lot more fun to be a contender with a guy like Wilson than some highly touted first rounder. A nice, big middle finger to conventional football wisdom

There's so much intrigue this year. The FA acquisitions and draft picks are all very interesting to me. Who wins out in the first genuine QB competition the Seahawks have had in years? How does the offensive line do with Okung and Moffitt healthy? What kind of personnel groups/two TE packages are we going to run? How will the upgrades to the DL pan out?

I love our front office. Just this morning I heard that Tampa was going to try and trade Winslow and I think there is no way we get him, but then I see tonight the we got him... and for only a 7th or possibly a 6th... that is awesome.

I feel like if we get any kind of decent QB play we will be a very scary team.

good pickup. I wonder if Miller is stoked or just realized he'll be a battering ram again this year

Well, Clemons is holding out... knowing ps and js they will play some hard ball. On the bright side Irvin is getting lots of 1st string attention, training, and reps because of it.
