Danny's .02:

1. Sheldon't you want me baby?
After the recent trade, all eyes are on the playbook cramming 3 technique as he nestles in between 3 other brutally effective to try to cave in the pocket. In truth, we've needed interior pressure for some time, so expectations are high.

2. Left overs Tackle and the funky bunch
Hasn't something like this been a key point of every pre-game call out list? In the 2nd to last preseason game, I thought Odhiambo actually did way better than I had expected. Good Luck, Russ!

3.To Blair or not to Blair?
I feel like Walsh was occasionally very good but missed a lot of preseason kicks... I am left wondering how I feel about him.

4. Lane as starting CB
I lost some love for Lane last year. This is a different position, but his nickel work last year was suspect. Penalties and lame tackles are not something we need from the guy that is now going to get picked on in a larger role.

Predictions-
Seattle 24 Packers 17

I think it's fair to say we lose this game. Playing in GB hasn't been kind to us lately.

It's been so long since we won there perhaps we are due?

I'm feeling way too good about this game which means we're gonna get killed.

Yeah lol.

It's going to be a struggle to slow down Rodgers, I feel. People have really high expectations for this defense & they should, but this isn't the week for it. I would feel completely different if we were at home for this game btw.

Prediction: Packers 31 Hawks 20 :(

Good: Defense stellar.

Bad: O-line. What's new?

I wasn't happy with the moves made to "improve" the o-line in the offseason. Today was a perfect example why

Bevel seems intent on never using Graham the right way... we should move that guy for a LT if signing Brandon Albert doesn't look appealing... those numbers are damn awful and going to get Wilson killed again.

The problem lies with Pete. He's too damn stubborn. He wants to be a smash mouth, run first team. Control the clock & win the game with defense.

The problem with that philosophy however is that we're not that team anymore! The line isn't good enough. Marshawn is in Oakland.

This team simply doesn't have the right identity. We have a QB & play-makers (Graham, Baldwin, etc.) that are better suited for an uptempo/spread offense.

Pete needs to acknowledge this & make a change, like they did towards the end of 2015. :banghead:
