Except Tucker stood in there, took the charge and likely sent Jones for a concussion check.

Kobe would be getting abused by Zion. P.J. is going to go toe to toe with him. Would be unfair to subject Kobe to that.

100% true. Kobe has a good shot & some finesse actually. But no way in hell should he be expected to body up Zion. Not even possible.

Why even draft him then. He has the body to guard Zion. Maybe not the lift but the body type. I wanted Trayce Jackson Davis who also is built to guard Zion.

Need a team meeting on how to defend Zion. All minds on deck

Three Strikes Yer Out

Lakers - Anthony Davis
Timberwolves - Rudy Gobert
Pelicans - Zion Williamson

All three teams have either role star or superstar bigs. Clippers have a role player big. They're just not good enough. That is now three teams with season series wins. They all have Clippers number, and possess the ability to automatically sweep them out of the playoffs.

Clippers need a superstar big. Until that happens, they will always lose to teams with role star or superstar bigs.

sign and trade PG. Having 2 players exactly the same doesnt make sense.

Clips playing on the 2nd night of a brutal travel back to back while getting in late, playing their 5th game since Saturday (to include 2 of the difficult schedule back to backs) and NOP playing at home and only their 3rd game since last Friday.

I am not worried about our team and I am not worried about NOP in the playoffs. We missed wide open threes late and took some bad threes in the 4th.

On Sirius NBA radio today, one of the former players on the broadcast was talking about how you "prepare" for the regular season games and "scheme" for the post season games.

I saw what I was hoping to out of this team tonight. Mann getting hurt in the 2nd threw off the rotations some, but they still came back to tie it up in the 3rd. Lots of positives out of this game.

A well-observed reality check. Tucker played 24 minutes and finished only minus-2, which is statistical noise. We broke even. PJ kept us in this game. Coach deserves credit for not burying him.

If they have to face this team in the playoffs, do you really think Ty is going to give them insight now into what he is actually going to do.

I think the small ball philosophy sucks unless you have the greatest 3pt shooter in history: Stephen Curry. But GSW is the team that LAC has been trying to copy. They don't shoot like them and the switch everything defense regularly ends up in a bad match-up. I have never seen a team give up so many layups and dunks with fools looking around for help. The idea that Kawhi and PG are 2 way players should probably be forgotten. These guys are literally the only offensive threat and waste their energy on that side with nothing left on D. We refuse to develop any rebounding defensive players. The focus is constantly on guards and 3s and these guys suck on the defensive end and turnovers plague them. Big teams will own this team because it doesn't execute well enough to end up with easy shots despite being outsized. Let's not forget the Chiropractor's refusal to play 2 guys above 6'8 at any one time. A 1st round playoff exit seems unavoidable.

P.J. only missed 1 three. Unfortunately, it came at a bad time. He was motivated tonight and really elevated the defensive play. Him hitting the floor was infectious. If he regains confidence in his shot and Russ comes back with his engine at full throttle, then we are going to see a much different intensity come playoff time. We don't need tons of minutes from those guys, but all go all the time during those minutes.

I have no confidence in Lue when the playoffs start. He’ll still be playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess.

It is what it is.

They tried I was sort of encouraged how close we played on a b2b. That being said this team can't **** around anymore. They need to play with some urgency and beat the crap out of the Hawks, 76ers and Pacers next 5 games.

I’m on board in general with your way of thinking. Tonight’s game was not a net negative. PJ was definitely the right call against Zion. I think we win a series against NO because we can match what they do in all areas except Zion. At least what he’s done to us so far this season. Hope the team feels a bit violated and the plan to defend him comes together.

5 games in 7 days.

TWO back-to-backs in 7 days. And the Wolves in between.

Energizer Bunny Russell Westbrook is out and Beard is getting some cautionary recovery time.

Sometimes you just have to play the hand you're dealt. This was not a winning hand but they didn't quit. They say there are no moral victories, but there ARE moral losses, and this wasn't.
