Anderson is a guy I have liked for a while, especially watching him play at UCLA. He just knows how to play with the ball in his hands, contributes on the glass and his a good shot. Hope we get to see him with the Spurs 2nd unit this season.

"I told him, 'Even though we're good friends, I'm still going to foul the beep out of you when we play,'" Barnes recalled Tuesday during his introductory news conference in Memphis. "That's just the kind of player I am. There's no hard feelings."

Barnes seems to have a solid grasp of the line between adversary and ally even when some people who are close to him do not.

"Basically coming from the enemy and now they're the enemy," Barnes said of the Clippers, "my kids are a little confused still. I have twin boys and they're just like, 'So, Daddy, do you not like DeAndre, Chris [Paul] and Blake [Griffin] no more?' And I'm like, 'No, they're still my friends, it's just they're my enemy when the ball goes up.'"

That means the Clippers will be subject to Barnes' brand of physical play after trading the veteran small forward in June to the Charlotte Hornets, who subsequently flipped him to the Grizzlies.

"We can be friends off the court until the cows come home," Barnes told Memphis radio host Chris Vernon, "but for those 48 minutes [of game time], if you're not wearing the same jersey, I don't know you."

Clips/Cavs would definitely be an exciting game. I'd be glad with just about anybody other than GSW and Mempis. I don't want to get too heated because of some cheap shots/dirty play.

On Thursday, police announced charges against Shawn Oliver for killing Mia Henderson.

Police said during the attack, Mia fought her attacker which eventually led to the discovery of DNA evidence under Mia’s fingernails.

Henderson is the sibling of Reggie Bullock, who at the time of the murder tweeted, “All I can say is my brother showed me how to live your own life. Love you so much man. Gone but not forgotten.”

while in Vegas, I heard so many drunken **** calling this gay couple a "****" and other names in the casino of Luxor while making their way through, bothering nobody. it was a reminder that we still live in such a primitive, biased, and intolerant society.

RIP MIa. hope this gives some closure for the Bullock family.
