Sale of Clippers officially closes; Ballmer becomes new owner

NEW YORK --The transaction in which Steve Ballmer purchased the Los Angeles Clippers closed today following the entry of an order by a California court confirming the authority of Shelly Sterling, on behalf of the Sterling Family Trust, to sell the team.

The NBA Board of Governors previously approved the sale and Ballmer is now the Clippers Governor.

Who the f*ck cares really, let her get them rings and brag with her stupid friends about it, and let DTS bath in money for the rest of his life, as long as they're out of our sight. There's a lot of f*cked up people in the world and that ain't changing, I'm just happy we don't have to be sufferin them directly.

Glad the transaction is finally official, I don't see us ever going back to a decade of bad basketball :beer:

From a long time Laker fan to the many Clipper fans of this board, congrats on Mr.Ballmer as your new owner. I know many of you here may find it hard to believe that a Laker fan is giving props to you guys, but that situation last spring was more than just about ball.

That said I'm looking forward to seeing how the Clippers further distant themselves from the past. I look forward to seeing how two teams in the same city with serious cash flow compete against each other now.

Good luck on the coming season....except when our teams play !

Hey I appreciate your kind words. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season and leaving the past behind us. And I'm happy this whole mess is finally over.
